His in-game name is CPU-Non Standard, meet him a lot in 2v2. I don't believe he plays tournament, and why does everyone brings up tournaments and pro players all the time? Is this game built for pros or for the normal players?
Relic tries for it to be balanced for everyone, but the focus is a little more towards 1v1 and the elite players.
People bring up tournaments and elite players because if things like double-Scotts were difficult to counter, we would see it in high-level play.
I remember the name CPU-Non Standard from a couple matches. I don't remember anything else about him, but would bet that he isn't any higher ranked than you. Also, as OKW, you have plenty of options for dealing with Scotts. |
This thing hit like a leig, is greatly mobile, has nearly pin-point accuracy and fast reload, if used in pair and microed well will cause massive MP bleed, winning most infantry fights in favor of USF (as if rifles late game aren't strong enough).
With the recent changes to indirect-fire weapons (and also the sturmpanzer), why is this thing left out? I've seen it used to deadly effects by a certain USF player (don't know if I should post his name here), who always build 2 of these, 2 jacksons and blob his rifles and officers and win every time vs any opponent (2v2 or 3v3 team game).
If you complaint so much about the sturmpanzer then I'd like to see this thing nerfed too, it's so fast that makes it so hard to catch, and it's not so expensive for it's performance.
Yes, please post name. I've been watching the 2v2 finals on Twitch and haven't seen anyone play the terribly OP USF. Did the elite players agree that USF was too OP to play in a tournament? |
If you lose in teamgames your team was worse than the other team.
LOL - trolling and truth all in one short post |
Yeah Ostwind needs some sort of buff, but that still doesn´t make the T34/76 OP in comparison to the P4. Not sure why people can´t just discuss the Ostwind without comparing it to completly different units in completly different tech-systems.
Moving the vet3 rotation bonus to Vet 0 would probably be enough. It would help a little for AI and a lot for AA. When it is supposed to be shooting at aircraft, the turret often doesn't rotate fast enough and it does not shoot. It's much better at Vet 3 but it doesn't vet very fast so I'd always rather have a P4 with a pintle. |
It has been 4 years since I started to play this game. And every time they just patch so a little in terms of balancing the 4v4 game mode. 4v4 need some love. Are they going to make the 4v4 balance or not? I am really sick of the 25-min marker.
Sorry, but don't really agree. The balance in 4v4 doesn't seem that bad, with late game maybe a tiny bit tilted to Axis but not so bad that I would complain. The biggest difference is that late-game Allies seem to need a little better coordination, which isn't a problem when playing with friends and using Vent or Discord but is a problem when playing with randoms.

A good thank that needs a health buff. no b/c it gets outclassed by JT,ELE, and mass amounts of panthers that it cant counter.
Exactly - it makes the unit and commander too situational. |
Same thread as KT, to see if the problem lies with all Heavy Tanks in COH2 being underwhelming. (Execpt Pershing)
Anyone here use Pershings in a 4v4? |
Yeah it could use some rework. I mean i like my double sturmpios with 10% accuracy boost and mark target on infantry but its so awkward to use. Particuraly when that random mortar wipes officer and nearby units are on their way back to the base.
This happens way too often to make the unit useful. I try it occasionally and always regret buying it, particularly because the retreat seems to be tied to just one model and not the whole squad. |
All AT guns can hit the ground. It's collisions with other objects (which is relatively uncommon) that can still happen.
Wasn't this eliminated for the raketen in one of the previous patches? |
you really don't need LT, you can hold out until shermans or just get BARs and focus down squads, pack howie will pay itself very fast, stuart is also okay if the opponent is spread out.
AAHT will die pretty easy to good raketen players not worth the 60 fuel IMO, not to mention the thing is awful at killing making your opponent float tons of manpower.
ATG is not late, they are cheap and captain can speed it up. Also, if you are fighting brumms with ATGs you are doing it wrong.
After the "Buff Ostwind" thread I tried the AAHT again, just to see if it was as good as people were claiming. Your comments were exactly my experience, other than to say that it doesn't take a "good" raketen player to kill it, just someone who can cloak and move into about 40 range before firing the first shot (unless that is what you mean by a "good" raketen player). The last time I tried one, I lost it to Ullumulu.
+1 on all your other comments. If I think I'm going to be facing a Brum, I try to get a Jackson as soon as possible because anything else bleeds manpower. |
