I have a better solution.
Give OKW and Ostheer strategic bombing to mirror operation Steinbock and bombing of Stalingrad respectively in a separate doctrine.
Problem solved. That way, UK emplacements can all get wiped like OKW trucks since they are all "too close together" and "built too aggressively" as suggested by other members.

Hmm, a 250 ammo ability (concentrated barage) still takes out a OKW truck 100%. It's not fair in the terms of gameplay. Where as you first had to use a bit more skill into it
There are lots of things that take out OKW trucks. Lots. What do players do then? They rebuild them.
So why is there so much hate for this ability? Because of the campers. Two or more bases in very close proximity getting rekt by an anti camp ability that comes late in the game.
OKW players want their med HQ next to their Flak HQ, to protect their le.IG's, so that they can forget about them, and let them bomb the enemy all game with impunity. So, the brits have a measure that kills this plan late game, and now the whining starts.
1 truck dead for 325 muni's is a great deal for OKW. It's not the singular truck that is the problem though is it? Nope, despite the protestations to the contrary, it's actually for the very reason I state above.

So it was designed to totally annihilate OKW trucks and make them lose the ability to make certain units and in 99% of the cases lose the game. Legit, nice design there.
I can kill a truck with a 320MP unit. Why should a 325 muni 12cp ability not be able to kill a truck?

You just don't understand the role of this strike, this strike his meant to clear OKW position, and structure, what on earth will you hit if base could move, it's like the 50 kg IL2 it's meant to destroy static things not an army who can insta retreat.
This is exactly it. If it doesn't clear static stuff, it's whole point is useless.
OKW want to have their bases safe? Don't build them so aggressively. If you do build them aggressively, you've had a whole 12cps worth of advantage. If your base gets destroyed, build another. Lost 2 or more? Well, you built them all in a camp spot. Well done, someone just used an anti camp ability on you.

On certain maps you can. Place it on the base border and see the base vanish. E.g. Faymonville Approach.

It's hilarious when people who use a "tactic" like ghost wiring, complain about it when someone uses it better against them.
When I challenged VonAsten about this, after having him do it to me numerous times in 2's (after he started whining on Romeo's stream, trying to garner support and sponsorship for a new butthole after Paul had rekt his old one), his answer was "I only do it in auto match, never in a tournament, which is OK".

It sounds to me like you were trying to spot a cloaked unit with vehicles. That's a bad idea Angrykitten, unless it's a dedicated spotter, like the Kubel or 222.
Use infantry to decloak them. They can only disappear if they have not been combat active for a time. |
Is there even gameplay remain for team games?
Infantry and support weapons play, aggressive play in general is killed by isgs/pack howies. Those stupid things suppress/squad wipe with perfect accuracy half way across map. Attacking is impossible in case of OKW thanks to flakHQ, which also impossible to kill with AT guns thanks to ability of isgs to kill those guns in 2 shots.
Harassment is killed by op lol squad wipe mines (yeah, shocking truth, sometimes sweepers needed in main army) and by quad and centaur, later followed by croc and kv8, which wipe squads on retreat like no tomorrow.
Speaking of those stupidly over buffed flame tanks, once enemy got them, axis infantry and support weapons cease to exist. It impossible to keep them alive against those beasts.
Any variations in commander choices is killed by op stuff and urgent need to counter it. I can list all viable and situationally viable commanders for each faction, but you all know which one commander use ami and which one commander use soviets to win serious games. OKW have literally one(!!!) viable build in even games.
So what remain of CoH gameplay? Every game is campfest, because it impossible to do any damage to isgs/pack howies, until map is very big like Vaux. Attacking and harassing is too risky, better to play greedy and just camp one side of the map and turtle from there while dumping all spare mp into caches and indirect fire, which requires so much skill to use. Then all comes down to gathering overwhelming tank force combined of churchills, kv8s, croc, e8s, is2 backed by tds for allies and surviving until elefant/jagdtiger arrival for axis.
So. Much. Fun.
Now you can say some of those things was there forever, but even if they were before, they never were so prevalent and never stacked together.
Relic, pls, do something about it. Game in disastrous state. Its not even a game anymore. Its a campfest and artyparty and same boring stuff every time again without exceptions.

The mortar pit shouldn't have dual mortars in it. It should have a single mortar, the price should be halved and likewise the pop.
Investing 400mp into something that immovable and is so easily destroyed, is, well... retarded. |
