From the time the game is set, the Ausf. G makes the most sense. Panthers on the field means Ostheer is set post the battle of Kursk. Further there was no Ausf. F2 with skirts, while the H was pretty much the G + Skirts. Also the gun always stays the same (was the same on G,H,J. The F2 had a slightly shorter gun). Thinking of it: Didn´t they just replace the Ostheer P4 with the Ausf. J also? In that case it still has 80mm hull armor. In: COH2 Balance

G with 80mm hull armor. The turret remained at 50mm however. On topic: The Churchill armor could really go up a bit. It should be better armored than a Tiger at least. In: COH2 Balance

This kind of misses the point of the thread. "Without Panzerschrecks they have no use" is the essence of this topic. You say they have use because they have Panzerschrecks. I don´t deny that. Buffing panzergrenadiers without any nerfs will allow them to effectively kill tanks and infantry. Back to blobbing? Only counter is arty? Two PG models with StG44s won´t be deadly at all. I´m not suggesting to make them snipers, but the drop off of the StG44 should be reduced. So they are still on par with Kar98k damage on long range. If I need to counter vehicles, flank mobile artillery, or destroy caches, it's a lot safer to use panzergrenadiers instead of letting my expensive tank roll over a mine. It is a support unit and that's how I would play it. The funny thing is that a Pak + Gren wall is still more cost efficient at taking out tanks than any combination of PGs. I´m sorry but as a pretty high leveled Ostheer player I can tell you if I want to win a game, I´m not building PGs. And I never ever build them for their AI value. In: COH2 Balance

Which is kind of the point. I spend additional 100mp to have better infantry. Currently Grens "replace" PGs. In the last 50 Ostheer games I played, I estimate the times I built PGs to be around 5 games. And those were some Osttruppen spam games. But building PGs instead of additional LMG Grens in close games can lose you the game. In: COH2 Balance

Also Grens can do that just as well. They melt down infantry from long range. Imo the long range dps of PGs should be buffed. They should have an advantage over Grens who are cheaper. I´m not paying more manpower to get a unit that´s weaker in long range engagements, which are pretty much the most common kind of engagement in the game. PGs aren´t trash themselves. They are just redundant and cost more than equally efficient units. In: COH2 Balance

This is a game, not real life and you don't even know what happen to other side. Maybe s/he has to go to toilet and doesn't want to AFK. I learned to go on the potty when I was two years old. During Kindergarten around age three I mastered the art of planning ahead when I have to pee and poop. I can understand people being afk for the first half minute. Going on the toilet while searching a game. This is time efficient. But you do not join a game and think: "Oh, let´s go on the toilet. I did not have that urge before." Unless you have explosive diarrhea of course, which should be extraordinary circumstances. It´s simply bad mannered to drop in competitive mode without any valid reason. And this is actually a problem with the game. Play some custom games or 1v1 instead then. I hope you enjoyed my poop guide. Don´t forget to wipe. In: COH2 Gameplay

An US rifle blob will beat the hell out of an OKW Volks blob for cost, simply because of the possibility to get BARs and lack of blob control for OKW. If we nerfed Volks this would have to be coupled with a Rifle nerf. The problem is not the Volks performance but the possibility to field 90 ammo Schrecks with full income. Afaik this was seen as OP on the initial Panzergrenadiers and thus they got two Schrecks for more ammo. The Schreck price should go up to 100 for Volks Schrecks and the cost bulletin (making them cost as much as around 75 ammo only) should be replaced by something else. The whole point of this patch was to make the under-performing Volks viable again. No need to revert this. In: COH2 Balance

Clearly the issue here was resources, not the individual tanks themselves. Wasn't that obvious? Then they would have to put down the fuel cost for the vehicles that did not need a nerf (e.g. Flak HT). It does not matter whether you put up the cost and keep the income the same or whether you lower the income and keep the cost. In the end the effect is the same. Further it´s easier to balance the game if everybody is at 100% resource income. In: COH2 Gameplay
