I´ll join. Brits changed Coh2 to the worst.
It´s just an accumulation of abusive non fun features (emplacements, tulips, a sniper that counters light vehicles) the best tanks in the game hands down (Croc + Comet) and strong infantry (Bren or Piat blob + 5 man upgrade). It is Ostheer on steroids. Thus Ostheer can´t participate in the game effectively. This can´t be balanced in any possible scenario.
The really retarded point is that Coh2 was about mobility. Now there is a faction that can sit around and break the concept of Coh2 with superior defensive tools. It would be fine if the Brit player was punished for sitting around. But he gets rewarded with superior lategame. Thus being a dick and sitting around on your lazy ass is rewarded with a likely win. The British faction encourages bad gameplay.

In general your micro is good. I noticed only smaller mistakes. - You and your mate split up on Rails and metal. This is always bad in 2vs2s but especially on this map. It´s much better to try to grab one fuel point and hopefully both ammo points (with your combined force) at the same time while the opponents split. - You should use Skype/ Team Speak. You are too busy typing. - At 4:03 you pack up the MG again while Sturmpioniers are running through its arc. You might have been able to get a further model or even wipe with lucky rng if you had let it there. - At around 5:35 you have two infantry sections capping the fuel point. While they are sitting around you could have built a sandbag close to the "flag" so the sandbags only work in one direction. Usually helps. Especially against that Kübelwagen harrasing you while building the trench later. - At 6:45 unnecessary reposition of an MG again. You are moving it in closer against a force while you should keep it at range. - At 16:00 you are floating 430 munitions. Planting mines would have helped versus the troops engaging your emplacements. Or Bren upgrades for your infantry. Brens are the Best MG upgrade in the game. --> Be a bit more conservative with your MGs, watch your ressources and get up better communication/ teamwork. In: COH2 Gameplay |
Thread: Ostheer lategame needs a buff27 May 2016, 12:29 PM
a simple and easy fix can be to switch the vet2 and vet3 bonus on the panther. vet2 would give it higher rate of fire and vet3 could give it its massive armor. That would be a straight up nerf to the Panther. Getting vet 2 is its only saving grace. And getting that later can hardly be compensated. The OKW Panther also costs 200 fuel, while Ost costs 175. The Teching cost is an ailment that has haunted Ost since release, and should obviously be changed or treated like a bug or whatever. The higher cost was more to adjust OKW teching after the full income change. Before that it came at the same unit cost. So the adjusted price for the OKW vehicle shouldn´t be seen as the justification for it having better stats. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Ostheer lategame needs a buff26 May 2016, 23:21 PM
I´m not asking for a huge Panther buff. But what does not go into my head is that OKW gets an actually slightly better Panther than Ostheer with iirc a slightly better rate of fire and better performing MGs. Giving those stats to the Ostheer Panther would be sufficient. It arrives later after all. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Ostheer lategame needs a buff26 May 2016, 15:34 PM
Something needs to be done about the Panther. It is not worth it in about any realistic scenario in the game. There are no swarms of Allied heavy tanks with high armor. Thus the penetration (while great on paper) is not needed. To compensate this high penetration the Panther has a slow reload. Thus you end up with the slow reload yet none of the practical benefits of the Panthers gun. It simply fulfills an unneeded role. At least give it some better AI capabilities or a higher rate of fire so it is worth building. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: What makes Bofors unpleasant to fight?25 May 2016, 18:48 PM
I´m not reading through four sides of text. Here is why I hate the Bofors or emplcaments in general. You can´t look at the Bofors in a vacuum as it´s so cheap and usually accompanied by a mortar pit. Thus I´ll take a look at the all deciding part. Early in the game a mortar pit and a Bofors have been set up. Let´s take a look at the Ostheer player who wants to counter these emplacements: - He sees his mortar getting shot to bits by the mortar pit. He can´t sustain fire. - Flamethrowers are killed by the Bofors in one salvo. - Paks get shot to bits by the mortar-pit or Bofors barrage. - The emplacements can´t/mustn´t be ignored on most maps. They restrict moving around the flanks also. Best examples being Semoiski, Trois Ponts, Road to Charkov. - You have to try to force a brace with artillery, move in with flamethrower infantry and hope that there is no 2nd Bofors and or IS picking you off. This is near to impossible. - There is no bleed on the British player for using emplacements while Axis infantry drops like flies. After some engagements the Axis player has bled out and lost the manpower/ most likely also the fuel-race. Meanwhile the Brit player: - Presses the brace button. - Klicks where the Bofors barrage should fire. ^Please note the horrendous skill gap between the Ostheer and Brit player. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: WAR SPOILS OPEN BETA CLOSING NOTES23 May 2016, 18:26 PM
"We do understand the arguments of players who support keeping stacking in, especially since they collected these items and value them. We hope players with duplicate bulletins will use their supply balance to access a wider portfolio of bulletins, rather than rely on stacking to give them a gameplay advantage." And this is the point where I don´t care about bulletins any longer. Dear Relic... what else is the point of bulletins if not trying to get an advantage? Then let´s get rid of them all together. Thread: Churchill is garbage23 May 2016, 08:17 AM
The Churchill should get armor values in between that of a Tiger and IS-2. The health pool should go down to that of other heavy tanks. I don´t like that there is no reward for flanking and circling it with mediums as it takes way too many shots to finish. Meanwhile most guns go through the frontal armor. Thus smart usage of the Churchill isn´t rewarded nor is bad usage punished. I think it´s rather boring. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: 2v2RR/RR 2x cancer doc rekt22 May 2016, 15:35 PM
Played with and against him yesterday. He spammed emplacements against me and complained about OKW. When we played together the second game, I told him that he can play nothing but emplacements... that was a mistake because that game he didn´t go for emplacements and was absolutely overwhelmed by microing units. He´s abusing blatantly OP "tactics" and likes going apeshit if that does not work. In his world OKW is abusive and thus he can use every dirty trick that´s needed. I simply don´t play 2vs2 because that guy usually shows up. It´s just exhausting and not fun. Edit: Habe da aber auch noch was von ihm. Der Kerl ist maximal 15 Jahre alt. ![]() In: Replays |
Thread: Ostheer lategame needs a buff22 May 2016, 10:22 AM
I agree on the Panther not serving any purpose. The slow rate of fire makes it second choice versus mediums. StuGs do it better. Not only per cost but also by sheer damage output. I would be okay with that. But that leaves the Panther with the solemn purpose of countering heavy tanks. And those should be the KV-1, KV-2,KV-8, Churchill, AVRE, Croc, IS-2, ISU-152 (,Pershing). But: The StuG still handles those pretty good. Most of them even better due to sufficient penetration and better rof. Thus this is also not a reason to go Panthers. Panthers perform actually worse on some of those heavies. The Churchill, Croc and AVRE with their high health pool are almost immune to the slow firing Panther. Those and the KVs aren´t that heavily armored as one wouldn´t use a StuG. This effectively leaves two units the Panther can arguably counter better than StuGs and that only by a margin: The IS-2 and the ISU-152. Conclusion: Not worth building. In: COH2 Balance |
