so since a mod needed to clean the thread up...back on topic.
from the quick look of the past few pages and a few more games as US, I feel the stuka strafe is indeed too much for it's cost, for three games in a row my P47's dealt minimal to no damage on enemy tanks and had the 120 muni strike kill a sherman outright and deal severe damage to a jackson. All I'm asking is that if I am paying twice as many munitions that it should have a similar effect, especially if it only targets vehicles, if the rockets don't hit a building they manage to miss completely or better yet I had a P47 kill friendly models by firing a good 1/4 of a map away from their intended target. it's not OP because it's german it's OP because it is more effective than a cheaper strike that deals more damage and has a far higher consistency. |
jeez guys, getting a bit emotional, now we are planning marriages for every one?, I was asking on your opinions on the aircraft to see if anyone notices the aircraft, if it truly does deflection damage, I must ask two questions. 1) why does deflection damage do so much from what I saw, it seemed similar to half a decent hit on one. 2)why does only this vehicle(from what I have seem) deal deflection damage yet high pen vehicles e.g. jackson and panther. not deal deflection damage. |
Well, Stuka has guns, P-47 has rockets - they are supposed to miss more. Also I am not disappointed by P-47 performance. It misses a few shots but generally it's okish especialy now, when havy axis armor is nurfed. KT can resist to such an air stike combined with a T34/85 attack for instance, if you extract it from the area, but it is soooo slow so it will probably end up dead. Don't even hope to survive to such combo with a Tiger for instance.
Stuka has powerfull guns, in addition, most of allied armor it's not as thick as the krupp steel. So it's not just about guns.
yeah but it was a panther that got totaled by the stuka from the front as well which is why I am questioning it's power given the panther has the thickest armour of all mediums outdoing a tiger in armour.
The P47 does perform great in a lot of instances but sometimes both planes end up missing all but 2 shots. |
I'm going to assume that RNGesus got me on that one, it was there one second next second no more panther. |
Is it just me or do other people think the stuka cannon strafe is a bit too powerful, I had it killing a captured panther from approx 50% health to dead in no time at all. when I retaliate against their armour with a P47 strike they manage to miss all but a few shots. I under stand they are cannons but when a p47 strike doesn't even compare damage wise and the IL2 strafe is out of the question.
TLDR it seems a bit powerful for being a cheaper strike than a P47 but dealing way more damage way faster. |
"asymmetric" balance only kind of exists at the moment there are so many units that out perform their opponents similar unit, for example a B4 and ML-20 outperform the Lefh at the moment although the lefh has a faster rate of fire from what I can see, and then there is the bazooka vs panzershrek argument, then the tank vs tank for any number of tanks. at the moment axis do have the bigger end of the stick in that they have more units that perform better e.g. panzershrek and pak-40. |
I don't understand why the wire can't be cut but the small tank traps stay with wire cutters. |
Isn't there software available that will allow you to record to a file while streaming? Then that file could be easily uploaded to YouTube after the stream without having to work with Twitch
you can use open broadcaster software that supports streaming and save to file, there is another program you can use in conjunction with xsplit or OBS that can record to file or you could use fraps while using in-game streaming options. |
Repair upkeep would hurt everything but heavy tanks.
for same health tanks it would cost the same upkeep, for lower health tanks it would cost less but there are some mediums with similar health to heavies, perhaps a cost per HP*armour might work |
That makes it even worse though. Both tanks have to aim, both tanks fire, both tanks miss. But here's the kicker, the Panther stays trained on the IS-2 while it reloads. The IS-2 has to level the gun, reload, then aim again. Not only does the Panther reload faster, but it may also make adjustments to it's aim while the IS-2 reloads slower and has to aim every shot as if it were the first.
Because that doesn't make sense, a 152mm Howitzer firing HE Shells, but it can't hurt Infantry? That's like having the short-barrel StuG III E take the SU-85's job.
I guess the ISU152 could use AP shells there were a few shells of that variety made for the ML20 gun but the HE shells were better for anti vehicle and anti personel. |
