Don't forget "nerf the P4" and "nerf the mg42"  FYI, there is already a "nerf panzergrenadier" running around (aimed towards schrecks being too strong, which is only true if you only watch the OKW faction side of things).
I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the Axis nerfing threads on this forum, especially those related to OKW. It's amazing what bias can do. |

Well apparently you are allways ready to shot all cannons in my direction. If things I say are not ok with you, I don't have a problem, I respect everybody's opinion. But chasing someone's every post and exagerrating to make it awkward it's not an open-minded aproach, nor civilised.

i'm sorry, but can you expand on this? in what way are they 'among the weakest'? are you talking about in terms of durability? scale-ability? versatility? vet bonuses wise? etc etc?

So what? Raging because germans had super tanks? That was the reality. Deal with it. Even american movies admit that. See "Fury" with Brad Pitt in which you have a quite realistic scene of what a Tiger could do. And that was a scenario with a mediocre Tiger crew and elite USF tankmen. Otherwise the 4 shermans were blew to pieces without having to much chances. There were reports when elite Tiger crews destroyed entire allied armored groups by themselves. |

I think that the game is so complex that when comparing 2 weapons or features, you simply can't take into account all factors that influence them.
Ok, the analysis is founded, but then, giving the ostheer vehicles and tanks prices, the okw resources handicap, with WHAT should Axis respond to allied medium armor rush? I think we can all agree that a T34 can hit the field before PZ IV does and that an allied player can pump more shermans then an axis player Pumas. Pak 40 saw its ROF lowered, raketenwerfer is hilarious when it comes of its AT capabilities.
So I think the analysis should not only state "hey, schrecks are better than zookas, and allied armor is to weak for them" but should wonder "why is that?". And maybe the conclusion will be: "because they need to". More than this, the zooka and schreck scatter was nerfed.
related to AT hand held weapons, in my view, there are only 2 things that need to be changed:
1. increase PTRS penetration;
2. increase zookas damage while letting their damage still slightly lower than schrecks damage.
*Anyway, zookas and schrecks are a start-game / middle game matter. The thing that is affecting the meta and may create inbalance on some maps is the thikness of Axis supertanks, the start game and middle game is still dominated by Allied, even if Axis have better hand held AT weapons. So nerfing these weapons won't bring any good I think. |

Pardon me, did you make a purpose from nerfing everything usefull Axis have? Because if I'm not mistaken it's not the only thread you started with a nerfing subject in the last 2 weeks.
On topic: grenadiers are among the weakest infantry currently while their are vanilla. Along time, they were nerfed, their lmg was nerfed. More nerfing would make them useless. Even in current state, they become to be usefull from vet level 2. Untill then, you fight 2 seconds then you run back if you want to preserve your squad.
Conscripts are not that weak, molotovs are very usefull now especialy because of the new cover system and ppsh upgrade makes them very dangerous.
In conclusion I don't think lmg 42 needs any change. |
