since at vet5 they have recieved accuracy at 52.5%, and at vet0 the schrecks penetrate every allied medium armor with 100% chance, and even at max range they have almost 100% hit chance.
Does that B in your nick mean biased?
No it doesn't. Not if you read all my posts.
Answer: situations in which you gatter a few volk squads with 5 vet level are verry rare in 1v1 or 2v2 for instance. On bigger maps for 3v3 and 4v4, to withdraw and bring again your infantry squads from bases it takes for ever so I don't think having a powerfull infantry is such a big advantage on these mods. Shermans, Easy 8, T34 can scall in veterancy also, you know? |
lol yeah guys relic is so nazi lol i bet they have ovens in the breakroom lol
You realise how ridiculous you sound? There aren't even any references to Nazis in the game, the only one that comes close is Obersoldaten complaining about "our leader", and the word "waffen" in the game files referring to Obers. If you stretch it, you could complain about the SS Camouflage used by Panzergrenadiers and Obersoldaten, but camouflage itself isn't an icon. Meanwhile the Hammer and Sickle, Soviet Flags, Commissars, the NKVD, and Stalin are all freely depicted or mentioned. Don't you think if Relic were "Nazi", they would at least opt to censor Soviet icons as well?
Completely agree. In addition, I like to mention that would like to see the Waffen SS troops in the game. This would be historically accurate and balanced because NKVD and Commissars are right there. But this could be insulting for some people, so we will probably never see that.
On topic: Jagdiger it's ok now. It has its special niche, no need for a cost decrease. Harder to use on city maps, it's still perfectly viable for open maps.

Haha, Jaigen
I attack volks all the time with tank, usually I win too. It's gotten even better since I started smoking them before I go in for the roadkill. I can't wait for your playercard to show up.
The only time it's stupid to attack volks with a tank is when there is an enemy tank nearby.
I do agree with JohnnyB about balancing the value of the shrek. I don't know about reducing the cost for volks, but I do feel that both shrek upgrades and the bazooka need better defined values and balance. With the bazooka currently at 60, the shrek should be worth 90, meaning pgrens are getting a steal at 120 right now.
Well, I'm glad you agree with me, but it seems you disagree in fact . I was saying that shrecks need to cost 60 amo, obers need to pay for their lmg (90 or 100 am0), and okw needs to have 100% amo income.
Annyway, I agree with you (for real) with the volks fighting tanks thing. Yes, I charge volks with tanks EVERY TIME exactly because they are not a real threat to medium armor as so manny people complain. While doing this, ofc that you need to check:
1. Is there a tank or an AT that could help them?
2. What is the proportion? Are you attacking 3-4 squads with just one tank? If so, you should go to COH2 basics and lear the game again.
IN FACT, it's more dangerous to charge with medium tanks squads that have AT NADES! Because they cripple your tank and run. Yes, they do a minimum damage, but your tank will move like a snail and will be a sitting duck for the enemy's AT guns or tanks. |
OKW-best AT weapon on most durable squad in game, best AI weapon on best scaling squad in game.
.
Since when volks are the most durable squad in the game?!!? Since when you can fight medium allied armor in this game JUST with volks with schrecks?! |
ShutUP!
Mods lock this thread PLZ!!
Fine, I'm outta' here! |

SIGH...you are indoctrinated I am afraid in the Myth of the Ubermensch. They had some things better some things worse. But they did have a hard on for big guns due to Hitler compensating. Of course we could get into Universal Parts and how great that was and how our tanks had a higher Up-Time as a result since it made logistics so easy. And we can also put this out there for your enjoyment:
http://ftr.wot-news.com/2013/09/05/common-myths-about-wwii/
At your silly response about veterans of course they would have preferred better tanks but it wasn't up to them. US Industry is what won us the war. We didnt require over engineering. And the fact that the US actually killed more German tanks then Germans killed American tanks is quite funny...
And stop with the Melodrama...its silly.
Back on Topic:
I hope they do Add the Rangers like I said before. I think 400MP would be a fair cost as long as they performed well.
Buddy, the only one indoctrinated here is you. I am just being realistic. And:
1. Assuming that someone won the war because it was better than his opponent it's just childish. You probably have like 18 years at most and you built your history knowllege on 2 penny sites like the one you quoted instead reading history books, studying technical features of allied and Axis tanks, or waching some serious documentary films on Discovery based on FACTS, statistics and historical documentation;
2. Every sensible and unbiased man in this world knows that Allied won the war because they had the superior manpower and resources, being able to flood any front with 10 times more men and equipment.
3. Everybody, including me, are happy that they did so and appreciate the sacrifice of so many Allied soldiers, because of that we are living in a free world (at least a good part of it). But even so, our eyes must stay open and our judgement must not be altered by stupid stereotypes issued from Clint Eastwoold's movies where one american officer would kill 50 germans soldiers with his thumb. Wehrmacht was a splendid army, excellent trained and equiped, best army of its time. UNFORTUNATELLY in THE MOST WRONG HANDS, but this does not mean we cannot admire its tactics and equipment and recognize its superiority. Even the uniforms were looking verry good (how could they look bad, while designed by one of the most famous italian cloths designer which is famous even today?!)
To @Burts: I reccomend to you the Discovery documentary movie "Tanks!". There is a part of the info and there you will have the comparison between the number of Allied and Axis tanks destroyed on every front, together with some technical facts. You will be surprised of what you will find out. Knowing the fact that all these documentary films are done by former "Allied" we can't suspect them of speaking in Axis' favor, on the contrary. So make your judgement. |
What if we make Obers pay for their lmg and reduce cost for volks' shrecks? This way, as someone said here before, an OKW player is obliged to chose between having a powerfull AI infantry or a good AT solution. If you want okw pay 90 amo for lmg 34 and 90 fuel for schreck, then 100% amo income is mandatory. |
I guess everyone here is happy they didn't had enough resources to bring the way to the next stage.
Of course. |
Uh not really, it was a combination of US Tank Doctrine and the US Army's stubbornness. When the M4 Sherman was designed, it was superior to German Tanks at the time, it was better armoured, armed, more agile, and had a stabilization system that allowed firing on the move, an uncommon feature for its time. When it was introduced in Africa, its opponents were the Panzer III with 37mm and 50mm guns, and Panzer IV with its stubby low velocity 75mm Gun. The Army decided the M4 was sufficient and no serious effort was put toward further development.
Strange decision, because in Africa they surely met the PzIV ausf F2 and G models also, that were superior to M4 at least in firepower.
As the war progressed, the Army's stubbornness slowed any advancement in US Tank design, they only wanted the M4A3 with it's 75mm Guns, which were to be used for Infantry Support. Dedicated Tank Destroyers were kept for AT duties instead. Tanks decided where and when to attack, and for enemy Tanks, Tank Destroyers and other AT Weapons (AT Guns, Bazookas, Artillery, Aircraft, and Mines) were meant to deal with them. The M4 was still considered sufficient, and wasn't used to engage in unnecessary tank combat.
Not allways in a combat situation you chose your fight. If germans chosed their fight at Prokhorovka (kursk region)they would have won. So what a couple of M4s would have done if they surprisingly met a P4 ausf G or H? Or worst, a Tiger?
When the US Army invaded France, they expected to be facing down Panzer IV's and light vehicles, Panthers were assumed to be as rare as Tigers. When we ended up fighting large numbers of Panthers and stronger-than-anticipated Panzer IV's, 76mm Guns started appearing on our M4's. The Ardennes Counteroffensive was a wake-up call for the Army, and they finally caved and made the 76mm Gun standard on the M4, as well as deploying our first and only used Heavy Tank in history, the M26 Pershing.
Unfortunately not even better equiped shermans with 75 or 76 mm guns could not go toe to toe with a Panther or a Tiger. They were superior to all PIV models but that was it. Not talking about dedicated AT self propelled guns such as JagdPanzer, JagdPanther or hetzers which - by the way - were better performing compared to M10, M17 and M36.
Anything they did, they were one step behind. Hell, I wonder what sky batlles would turned into if germans had enough resources to build and maintain enough Me262s.
