does anybody really believe that Relic is actually fully involved in COH2?
Yeah, I know what you mean. It would be highly unusual for the whole company to be working on COH2. I'd expect at least a few people to be working on "whats next" and it wouldn't be at all odd for one or two others to be looking at completely new IP and ideas. You'd probably also have an engine team working on the engine itself instead of a game.
What would be interesting is that if they are ramping up into a DoW3 announcement, then the team size would sky rocket - most likely at the cost of CoH2, unless Sega invest in a new DoW team. |
So, it looks like Relic might be up to some Dawn of War based hi-jinks in the near future...
I followed the WhoIs lookup link (in the article linked above) and it is indeed registered to Sega, with a @relic.com e-mail address too.
Of course, it could just be protecting the address and the IP from people trying to make a cheap buck if Relic/Sega did decide to do another Dawn of War, or it could be them getting ready to announce something?
Thought I'd put it here in case anyone was interested. :-P

Ahhh, SQLite - how I hate you.
eliw00d is correct, running it as admin should allow you access. The database is locked as it stands, so either you don't have permissions or something else is using the database.
Given those two options, I'd guess at it being permissions. |
From the patch notes:
Super Heavy Call in Vehicles (Tiger, Tiger Ace, Elefant, IS2, ISU, Jadgtiger, Sturmtiger, KV2)
First of all, I'm not sure if the limit of 1 will be applied while the Sturmtiger is not a call in, unless that change was in the patch notes, but I can't see it mentioned anywhere.
Also, they aren't super clear if it is a limit of 1 Heavy Vehicle of any type on the field at a time, or if it is 1 Heavy Vehicle of each type on the field at a time. |
What's linux, for those who are too lazy to Google...
It's an operating system. The Linux Kernal also forms the basis for Android.

I always read GLHF as really meaning "Bad Luck, Have Fun though".
Because, you know...they don't really want me to have Good Luck. Not if we're honest with ourselves anyway.
Still, there are some pretty toxic individuals out there who either enjoy being trashy in chat or get so angry at things they lash out. Just ignore them, they win if you respond or react. React by winning.
Also, and I'll throw this in here just incase the discussion heads that way, if you find cheats for COH2 don't share them here on COH2.ORG but report them to Relic - http://bit.ly/1aB2FSz |
I don't really have any problems at the moment. Certainly not what you describe. I do get framerate drops when there are lots of particle effects on screen, but that is pretty standard really.
Try moving the Phys-X processing onto the GPU via the NVidia options menu. |
July 29.
But, I have used the Developer Preview and I've got to say that I really like it.
It really is much better than both Windows 8 and 8.1 and offers a substancial improvement over Windows 7 now; I personally noticed a decent performance increase over Windows 8 on the laptop I installed it on.
Plus, the start bar is back and that means I might even use it on my main desktop. |
It was on Twitch, I can't get a link here though - it's blocked at work for me.
It looked pretty good, for the most part. Just the on screen text messages are terrible; but the main game looked good.
For sure though, it looks better than Rust has been at various points since it was released. |
They did a stream last night (~9pm GMT, IIRC) and mentioned it'd be out late today I think. God knows if thats their time, my time, US time... |
