i realize this is somewhat subjective. I play with everything on low, but i still think the game looks very good.

Yea I agree, the term asymetric balance is poorly understood by a lot of people on this forum. The information provided here is similar to even the tank guns. You have a lot of instances where axis penetration on allied tanks is 100%, while allied penetration is not 100%. The infantry argument usually goes something to the tune of, axis has smaller squads, so needs better accuracy/fire rate. The armor situation is that tanks are cheaper for allies, so should not be as good. What you end up with is that allies end up requiring significantly more resources to have a good chance of getting the job done. Right now, panzershreks are about the same cost as poorly performing bazookas. So even taking into consideration the popular viewpoints of how coh2 operation should occur, the bazooka is either 2x too expensive or the shrek is too good for it's cost (maybe even both). My god i am sick of that word "asymmetric balance" and how it is used on this damn forum Really, like Katitof said, it is accomplishing the same goal with different means. A good example of this is the OStheer and Soviet mortar. They both kill units fairly well. The Soviet mortar is a little bit more accurate while the Ostheer mortar shoots faster. What we have now, it seems, is the Axis fanboys here using the word "asymmetric balance" to justify Axis units having better EVERYTHING. If, god forbid, that they have a unit that is similar or worse than an allied counterpart, they will say it isn't asymmetric balance. When Allied units need buff, they will say "asymmetric balance!". When Axis units need nerfs, Axis lobby will say "Axis units were better in real life!". In: COH2 Balance |

And then people ask for a varied meta... varied meta cannot happen unless more units are added into the game or structural changes are made. B4 is used to counter overly campy Axis play and Axis heavy tanks. That is the whole point of picking the Counterattack Commander. It isn't an automatic pick doctrine too... SOviet is already the most doctrinal-dependent faction in-game. What o we want now? 100 percent ISU? Oh wait that is going to get nerfed soon In: COH2 Balance |

I agree with your conclusion. im fine with the schrek being superior to the bazooka and PTRS, but considering Axis have the better tanks, AT, AND handhelt-AT (and better infantry), it becomes a big problem In: COH2 Balance |

Allies not allowed to have good units. Yes nerf B4 and nerf ISU. I think the SU85 can clearly handle JTs and Kts by themselves. While we are at it, we should nerf conscripts as well To the people saying to use doctrinal stuff: the need to equip one specific commander JUST IN CASE the enemy has another specific commander in his loadout is simply bad design. Players should not be forced into specific loadouts, as this reduces the variety of commanders actually used. There should be no unit and/or ability, doctrinal or not, that can only really be countered by doctrinal units and/or abilities. Welcome to the Soviet faction! In: COH2 Balance |

Panzerschreck long-range accuracy is very good. It often hits from long-range (and penetrates) vehicles that are closing in. That is why flanking Axis heavies are easier said than done. You go in for a flank > get pulverized by schrecks. There seems to be a very important aspect that most of us here are forgetting. Coh2 has commanders not just for fun, but for reacting to your opponents choices. A b4 can be countered by offmap. "But than I dont have a tiger!!!" Well, your opponent has no heavy either, so enjoy this non-heavy game. Oh btw you have an elephant. Good post Kreatir and i wholeheartedly agree, although i disagree that you NEED the right commander to counter a particular unit (it falls into the trap of using ISU to counter said unit, using Jagdtiger to counter ISU, etc.) Axis have solid core armies. There are many ways to negate the effectiveness of the B4 or how to counter it. There are quite a number of tactics you can use to defeat the B4 user. You can sneak in a light vehicle to decrew or destroy it, like the 222, Luchs, Puma, Panzer4. Moving in a Stuka, or Panzerwerfer does the job too. It is also helpful to be less predictable as well. If you camp a certain sector for an extended period of time, try moving your units around and shuffling them. Big stationary blobs are juicy targets for the B4. TO all those complaining that it destroys trucks and what not: There should be a risk to moving your truck up. No one is forcing you to set up forward repair bases or medic bases.
