The good question is why did the balance team nerfed units that were mostly used in teamgame if USF was already on the downside on team game eficiency.
The P47 is still the most expensive loitering abilities while being less powerful on its own than other similar abilities and face units that have vet1 blitz or doctrinal panzer tactician to escape but yet not a word from them, that's fair and balance. But when it comes to RAM+IL2 we're in months of discussion to nerf it and if possible nerf it to the ground.
They're now nerfing the calliope but still don't want to give USF late game more consistency.
The guy who nerfed the Calliope probably didn't took in account that USF is lacking accessible mines and both Axis factions already have stock brawler tank able to just run through USF defenses like knife in butter and with vet1 blitz, it also didn't come in his mind that the Calliope is stuck behind CP10.
Somewhat if we see complain that the Calliope is able to bounce shot that's mean Axis is already able to fend the USF player defenses to reach it while the contrary is not true, not with a sherman or a Jackson.
The best a USF player can do to take out a rocket arty is to sneak a sherman from the border of the map.
Its just sad that it didn't come in their mind that if a faction can't field anything more armored than a sherman and no mines that are going to stop heavier armored tanks then those other units should also have some resistance on their own.

Either way you nerf its durability to other rocket arty level and bring its price and accesibility to the same level or you keep it durable and keep its price and accesibility for the late game only. But we're never going to get that with a Balance team that nickpick single comment from player to tell them -No here you're wrong!. There is a good post from IntotheRain but it seems more important for the balance team to answer the single comment on Calliope fuel price rather than engaging a discussion over USF balance on team game. Calliope lose armor and health for no price or CP reduction. Pathfinder barrage get 1 second more and flare coming sooner for no price reduction. Combined arms got nerfed at 70% and only got a 35 munition decrease. Rear echelon rifle grenade got wiped out of the game for no price reduction. But the Ez8 got 5 range increase and obviously get a 10 fuel price increase. There is usually a way to see when the balance team cares or not about something they touch. They have two way of doing a nerf. 1- small adjustments at each patch version so they make sure to not overnerf something they like, ie: ostruppen changes on the last patch. 2- Nerf hammer, overnerf the stuff and if nobody complain about it too loudly, profit. If it generates some noise just revert some of the nerf so you show your actually caring about it. If there is too much noise then just revert and nerf something else. ie: Ram and IL2 strafe or USF changes this patch. In: COH2 Balance |

It was heavy meta before you nerf its AT power and relegate it to CP4. The doctrine was heavy meta with the pakhowi you already nerfed, cluster bomb timing you also nerfed some time ago and IR pathfinder you're nerfing right now. In: COH2 Balance |

I'd only love to see the balance team to be more fair and consistent across factions. The opacity around the decision making is getting really problematic. How can we have at the same time a generous buff for Panzerfussilier with not counter-part because the unit is said underwhelming on 1vs1 and a +5 range at cost of 10 fuel for the Ez8 because you know the Ez8 is already everywhere on 1vs1 and team-game. When I read that I feel more the balance team being more of a bunch of dudes whose push their personal agenda than a concrete balance team. In: COH2 Balance |

Why is this nickpicking on comment? You always do that, cherrypicking a comment that may be not true to avoid engaging discussion on far more consistent points that have been made above. Pershing could be worst or not with this change this is so insigniant and so far from what make the pershing a bad unit that you're just adding insult over the insult. We're waiting for your comment on all the points that have been made, not just the pershing change that is going to change nothing because the pershing isn't a damage sponge as the KV1 and what it need isn't repairing faster but taking less damage. We know that you know that but for some reason you don't want to do anything about it. So say it: The balance team don't want to make the Pershing more relevant and that's it... Fuck, Joder, Putain. What a complet joke of patch for USF. Is there anyone that play USF in the balance team? That's a serious question. The faction remains completly dependant on Calliope doctrines on team game which has been generously nerfed. Basically only the rangers and 105 sherman see some relevant buff (and I don't really know why for the rangers) - Pershing: I don't beleive the change is going to make much difference for it. - Sherman 105: the barrage is a nice addition on paper, to see if it reflect well in game - Ez8: Range buff is nice but still make the unit a mid-game gamble upon going M4A3/jackson, not a viable strategy. The doctrine is still dead as it is and soft buffing its minor abilities isn't going to cut for it. - Rifle nade: do you remember it cost 60 munition to upgrade? Do you even know it? If the ability has to become a skill shot then reverse it. Make it an automatic upgrade to ALL Rear Echelon and cost 5 munition per use. Oh and the 15 seconds cooldown, like the cheery nerf on the cake, hilarious, How long is the CD actually, between 8 and 9 seconds, to 15. - M8 Greyhound: Lol. What can we say more Who's going to select this doctrine anymore with last patch pakhowi nerf and then Pathfinder nerf and this "buff" to compensate it. - I&R Pathfinder: Nice double nerf, increasing the delay and putting flare sooner. You've just kill the doctrine removing the cheese in it (which is good move) but leaving the doctrine helpless. - Ranger: to be tested but I don't know why this change. - Calliope: no even a price reduction associated to the nerf, not even a CP reduction. Pure and plain nerf to the only unit that make USF late game relevant. The nerf is deserved but the failure to give USF other late game abilities to make the faction viable is a problem. -244 change: Who call that a buff for a 240 munitions abilities, 1 over 8 shell will not hit randomly. -No change for airborn is huge deception. Not even putting the P47 price in match with other similar abilities. -Recon support completely nerfed to the ground in two patches. -Maybe see a reborn for armor company with the 105m sherman buff but the barrage is still shitty and -Calliope heavy nerf but still not a single idea how to make USF less dependant on it on team game. -M4A3 dozer blade removed from mechanized like "USF don't need it anyway everyone pick the 74m" Aside from that some minor buff to minor abilites that isn't going to make those associated doctrine more interesting to use. M10 is 90 fuel. What really need to be looked at in this commander are the sherman dozer and the barrage. The dozer isn't any better than the dozer upgrede from UA and mech commanders and the 260mm barrage is mainly a waste of resources. --- Infantry companie is specially design to counter emplacement with the priest and ToT. ToT is a barrage that only works on fixed targets, the delay between the call and first shell is so high that you can easily move your HMG or pack out of the area without suffer any damage. Knowing that we all understand why Vipper wants to remove it from the doctrine in his personal crusade vs anything that make an allied commander relevant. In: Lobby |

Are we sure John's comment is aimed toward you? You did a great job in my opinion. I don't know if there is a relation but I've experienced longer queue time on 2vs2 since the banwave and be matched vs Brosnas team (and got rape obviously) like there is nobody else playing the game anymore between our respective ranks at an hours when usually there are? I have to admit since the seeking's case has been opened I became a bit suspicious about cheating, seeing many situation where I'm thinking if the guy is really that lucky or really that good to always found out what will be my next step.
