They get FREE grenades from fighting pits and get a free fifth man at Vet 2. They are REAR echelon troops, they are not supposed to assault, but fortify and lock down areas behind the lines. They are also the cheapest infantry in the game I believe, they are fine. |
There isn't. They're in a big open field.
Oh wonderful, and look there is a conveniently place fuel behind the VPs so the player doesn't have to decide between resources and winning.
No I haven't played the map yet, but based on the layout it looks bad. Whoever locks down the north first wins. The only way to counter that would be for the other team to build good arty to dislodge them, but this opens them up to tanks from the camping team, due to the fuel being right there. |
Ring around the Victory Point,
Pocket full of minefields,
Explosion! Explosion!
All my squads fall down... |
The two top VPs look ridiculously close to each other. Unless there is some unpassable obstacle, like deep water or a cliff, it looks like one person can move up some MGS and control them both.

I am pessimistic CoH2 for E-Sports.
It's great game, but there are too much RNG factor like Mortar, armor piercing, grenader, etc.
I think stuff like that will actually make it stand out from the pack. It won't just be about who got the most resources and who calculated their damage fastest, it will be about factoring RNG into your strategy. Some of it can be toned down(one-shotting elite squads), but I think entirely removing it would hurt the uniqueness of the game more than help. Although if it does impact professional play too much I am sure Relic can fix it.......eventually |
Honest question, I see in every other thread people asking for a Pershing for US late game, however lets just assume we get a slightly shittier is2 as a pershing(Cause we will not get anything stronger than a is2), what will this acomplish for balance??
In team games for balance, a pershing will just be an extra vet star in that Jagdtiger meal. It might be a meatshield for the KT, but being realistic, do you think having an IS2 call in for the US forces would fix the problems US meta currently has?
It won't really help, but it might shut some of the community up about it. Of course it will most likely just spawn threads whining that to win as USF you have to buy the commander and then once enough people have it; they will whine that it is the only good commander for USF to play. One unit won't fix squat, they need to redo the team game resource management. |
BartonPL is very excited for this and will give away 5000 copies away to other players.
How will relic make money if the 5000 people left playing the game get a free copy... |
Hi guys. I have played with SwissCheese. He is a very nice guy. Please don't think he is trying to troll everyone. He is simply stating his observations (which are quite spot on)
Nope he is trolling, there is already several threads about this, another one will not change anything. Relic is focusing on 1v1 and 2v2 and Obs mode for ELO, 4v4 might get a USF commander with a Heavy tank and the OKW might get some more resource adjustments. But at the end of it all, 4v4 will still be dominated by King Tigers, Jagdtigers, and ISU-152. Most Axis tanks will still be better than Allied tanks and players will still need to L2P and stop running back to the forums to scream about how an entire faction is OP and every unit in it needs to be nerfed. |
The reason I would be wary of a designable tank insignia system is how many penis tanks would be rolling around....
The amount of, "My tank's c**k is bigger than yours, lololol.", would ruin in-game chat. |
You do know Relic doesn't care right? |
