You overlooked that this -33% Fuel (and -20% Mun) sounds much but practically its not since its per Strategic point. Fuel and Munition points earn you the same amount still.
So if you and the OKW opponent own half the map (lets say Langreska for example), which means you and OKW player owns 5 Strat points, you get 5F/min more compared to OKW. On Langreska in particular you 'll get 26F as Soviet (or US or Wehrmacht) and 21F as OKW.
So, no its not -33%!!!
I won't even mention that OKW have no infantry upgrades that require fuel...
My point is that if you want to do a Unit Cost to Unit Cost comparison then you should get your amounts correct. |
Grens are fine, lmg 42 spam is too strong, especially against USF. Maybe a buff of hmg42, but god please I don't want gren spam meta back.
But isn't the meta already Gren Spam? |
I play AT 2v2 games with a friend and we usually play as Axis due to him liking playing as Axis. On my own I like to play 2v2 Randoms as Soviets due to B4 and Demos being a blast to play with(horrible pun not intended). It is fun to see a swarm of Exp float up in the middle of a red mist when you hit the plunger.
I actually find Soviets to be the best faction right now. The only thing they struggle with is King Tiger, but otherwise when me and my friend play as Axis we face some really hard to beat Soviet and USF strategies(this could be due to only hardcore players being left on the Allies side).
I really don't find Soviets call-in meta to be as boring as some people suggest, due to the call-ins being varied(IS-2, ISU, T34-85s, KV-1+B-4 are all viable). I find the most boring factions to play are OKW and USF. Yeah OKW gets to be critical mass late game, but you get pushed around early and mid game and the BO is fairly linear every game.
USF has the same problem, but reversed, your rifles get max powered around mid-game then suffer against late game tanks and infantry. The BO is not quite as linear as OKW, but the options are few, go for P47 spam or go for E8 spam. |
The problem with Grens is 3 things(IMO):
1. Static Weapon Upgrade - the reason I(and some others)prefer the G43 right now, is that it can be fired on the move, the LMG-42 requires the squad to be static and this leads to squad wipes and forces the LMG Gren to slowly turn and then set-up to fire at moving enemy squads(this allows Shocks and Rifles to close in).
2.Ranges - As was said before maps really hurt Grens, so many maps are close quarters and a lot of Allied infantry have Smoke Nades and this hurts the long-range intended use of the LMG42, once again leading to favoring of the G43 in this meta.
3.Squad Wipe Potential - this one is tricky, I can see a fifth man being OP and spacing coding might cause bugs and men stuck on objects(nothing like paying for 4 men and going into battle with 3 men). I think they could do with adjusting splash damage on all explosives or adding so kind of explosive resistance to Grens. |
Having access to Luchs at a net cost of 130F (80+50) while Soviets can only a ZiS with such amount, being able to field a Panther for a net cost of 255F (80+175) while a Soviet can field a T-34 at 220F (forget the AT nades...). Suggesting that in order to beat OKW you need a doc with call-in tanks and if he gets away to late game with enough vetted squad you are almost surely gonna lose AND...
AND mines are considered OP'ed??? What kind of evil is this?
OKW has -33% fuel so it is a third more than 255 fuel to get Panzerschwer HQ and Panther. |
No Free to Play(bad business model is bad).
Balance.
Bug Fixes.
At least add the British Faction(having 3 allies factions to 2 axis, would be a way to entice more players to play allies side).
Communication(doesn't have to be a big list or anything, but at least give players something to speculate on, but add things you aren't going to change to keep disappointment-hype to a minimum). |
They read the forums. I hope they are taking some of this feedback in. Until then all we can do is;
Sometimes I think they read the forums and trick themselves with reverse psychology that what players want is the exact opposite of what they post about all day, every day, in hundreds of threads. |
I don't want that OR the stuka zu fuss vet 0 satellite guided unmissable super accurate building wiping barrages
Why on earth the scatter pattern of the flame barrage isn't the used for the vanilla barrage baffles me. Priests have to vet up for their walking barrages. Soviet indirects have to vet up for a single precision shot, never mind a barrage. Both of them pay munitions for it to boot. What makes stukas so special?
100 fuel, longest cooldown time, and dies to any AT that gets in range. |
Including both the commanders (I got Advanced Warfare in a drop about a week ago, but never got the Close Air Sup), plus free skins(as goofy as they look the name helps me too stomach them) and the decal(it isn't really unique, but not terrible either, just kinda bland); I have to say I am pleased with what we got for winning. GJ everyone and thanks Relic(it has been ages since I said that). |
Close the Pocket was never nerfed, people just L2P. |
