So to sum it up;
Does the SU's early game suck against the new OKW and to an extent against OST? YES
Does the maxim win early/mid games on its own if you build more than 1? YES
For me atleast maxims Dominate okw from early to mid-late, lategame is okw again with their armor but the VPs are use ally so heavy in your favor that there is only a minimal time spent in late. Maxims can 1v1 every okw unit and even 1v2 them with a bit of map knowledge and sight.
I use Triple maxim accuracy thought which leads to 9% increased dps (or is it calculated the other way of %? Dont know the english Term for it..) |
I hopped on to see if packet losses was the issue and I seem to have 0% of it after sitting on it for a minute or so.
Be happy about it because there is no way to fix Packet losses except changing Provider

what mode are we talking about, 1v1, 2v2?
Speaking generally, imo ostheer is hard to play currently. vs brits you should try mortar ht to deal with emplacements, or try to rush with paks, shreks, just simply push frontline enough to kill emplacement. Key is to try focus on mortar pit right after brace go off. AEC is another problem, so try to have some sort of AT weapon, some mines, in 6-7 min of game (sometimes even earlier) and 222 would help you. Remember that special bullets from mg42 may kill aec.
Many people goes mobile defense with puma to deal with such a things. I think you should choose commander which suit you and you feel most confident.
Aec useally comes at about 5mins if I remember correctly so the timing to get AT is a bit tighter. Puma comes a bit to late at 5cp (?) So your best bet is to Lure it over a mine. And dont forget to use attack ground when the aec Pops smoke against your pak, it's essential. If you have the 0cp osttruppen commander take it everytime against brits, they increase your Chances to win dramaticly. |
I'm not sure if anyone else suffers the same problem but lately the game isn't responding properly.
I have sticky squad controls even when I have it disabled. When I press down arrow key to control the camera, it gets stuck going downwards and I lose control of my camera. Not to mention the fact when I tap A for attack, it doesn't respond to me until five or so taps later.
I don't have a problem like this in other games and this is really frustrating.
The methods I've tried to fix this was a clean uninstall and reinstall but that didn't do much.
Did you Check your Internet connection? Especially Packet losses? It doesnt impact your normal Internet usage but becomes visible as soon as you play vidya games.
I had the same issue some time ago in LoL and it leads to this exact unresponsive unit controlling where you need multiple clicks to get the Task executed.
If your using teamspeak you can easily Check it with rightclicking your Name and select the connection Details thing. |
Your own fault for Posting this on the balance section. I wanted to write that we all should try to get some Distance and look at it from a gameplay perspective rather than balance, but you Decided it to be a balance issue by Posting it here..
Im saying that because it could open up some more diverstiy in the okw meta, instead of the exciting volks volks volks volks volks volks build. And we all know how much the community Loves volks. (But they dont want to add New non doc Basic units to allow more unit diverstiy, paradox) |

The way to destroy those pesky emplacements is to get a mortar halftracks and flame it to death.
But please add that you only do that if you got spearhead. If not you will lock yourself in a bad doctrine to counter a 400mp non doc unit. Thats an important thing to add to be honest. |
Because there was a change to OKW, which made Kubel much more potent and volks stronger then cons, sturmpios also got some considerable cost effectiveness buff and OKW got free 100 mp at start more then other armies.
This has led to rapidly diminishing usefulness of cons, relic tried to offset this with vet3 buff, but all it did was to make ppsh upgrade less horrible, stock cons without doctrinal support were still poop in uniform with a slingshot.
Soviet players adapted and switched from underpowered cons(rolled over by volks, rolled over by grens, outscaled and eventually rolled over by osttruppen) to maxims as axis light vehicles arrived too early for T1 to be viable any longer.
Maxims were always strong vs OKW and fine vs ost, but due to volks buffs and okw revamp, soviet mainline inf was no longer a valid choice.
The butterfly effect of CoH2, where because of huge OKW buffs and adapting soviets, now everyone thinks soviets are OP again, which isn't really the case, its cons and penals who are UP in relation to volks and grens
