Oh boy, the wehraboo tears are so delicious!
stay classy guys, your precious heavy tanks will still keep wiping infantry squads and being a pain in the ass like always. You just need to git gud now.
axis still have the superior infantry snowball effect, so no biggie. Most people forget that late game the most important thing is infantry, because it is how you can cap territory, not matter how much tanks you have, if you run out of VPs because you can't cap you will lose.
And for the OKBabbies crying about shreks, have you actually played as soviets? The faction that has NO GODDAMN AT INFANTRY. and it never had a problem dealing with OP tanks?
Damn wehraboos need to git gud 4 rel @1:21:00
Just fyi, Soviets can get PTRS Guards, PTRS Conscripts, and Pzshreck partisans. No AT infantry is a gross exaggeration. Their issues with "OP tanks" never arise due to their extremely strong early game and general ability to tech faster than German players because of that. OKW's strong point isn't in the early game- that's the role of the Allied factions.
If you bother watching the stream (It's Noggano vs Jove and some friends afterwards testing the Competitive Mod put out by Miragefla. It's important to note that this includes the Allied nerfs that Relic chose not to include in their new patch [so far]), you can clearly see the game is imbalanced in favor of the allies. |
IS-2 rear armour nerf? Not sure why Comet's didn't follow with their rear armour of 180, but I don't get this rear armour nerf complaint. You should be puinshed if you're heavy tank is outflanked.
The mediums flanking already need to expose themselves to the rear-line AT that should be supporting the heavy.
As well as Churchills and Pershings. The IS-2 may have been nerfed, but it still has more rear armor than any German vehicle (Even KT and Jagdtiger?). It was just a big, unnecessary nerf to Germans. Your punishment for being flanked is already hard-coded into the game, so it doesn't make sense to enhance the effect.
Edit: Churchills and Comets have more rear armor than the KT and Jagdtiger- this is a problem. |
150 rear is far from being penetrated by machine gun, stop weed
That wasn't the question. The nerfs indirectly buffed every medium+ tank by guaranteeing they won't bounce on rear armor unless you're using t-34/76s at max range. For already useless vehicles in 1v1 matches like the Jagdtiger it's an unnecessary nerf. Team games are even further imbalanced in favor of allies due to the sluggish speed of heavies and the spammability of allied tanks.
I'm curious since the Jagdtiger has become so useless and people are calling for even more nerfs, why not just bring back the Jagdpanther? A speed buff with reduced damage, range, and hitpoints is pretty much the only way to make that unit competitive in more game modes. |
Many posts made me laugh, ppl playing a WW2 based game and didn't know that the rear of a tank are supposed to be vulnerable ? Especially this game have no side armor or slower reversing speed implemented, that's the biggest weakness of heavy tanks, relic already made heavies noob-proof, and ppl are still crying about rear amor nerfs even when it's for both sides....
I think people generally understand that rear armor is weaker than frontal armor. It already was. Now it is even moreso the case. Would you still be laughing if all rear armor ratings were at 0 and kubelwagen spam could take out anything on the field? |
Do you really think that its a good idea to give schrecks to the unit with really good vet, faster repair with vet and quite powerfull AI (2 vet 5 Pios StG> 2 vet 3 PGs StG)?
Giving Pios schreck will lead us to Tanks covered by ~2-3 vet 5 Pios, which will rape by focus fire everything and if tank get damaged insta repair it.
Then working opposite of the support package, the schreck upgrade should also decrease repair rate. If anything, this could finally be a chance to give Sturmpios Kar98s and give Volks the option to switch to close range with an MP40/StG44 package. |
Since we're going crazy with the patch, why not fix something worth fixing?
11. Conscripts now throw molotovs 50% faster |
ayy lmao
It's not like it has to be available at the start or even as powerful as other LMGs, but some sort of long range weapon like an LMG or G43 are the only things that supplement a base rifle squad.
Maybe Panzerbusches? |
I think Volks should get a choice between 4-5x MP40s or 2x MG34 LMGs as the proposed STG44 upgrade literally makes them more ineffective at any range and adds nothing to OKW's base weapon selection. To make up for Volks losing Panzerschrecks, Sturmpioneers should be able to unlock a 2x Panzerschreck upgrade for 120 munis once the t2/3 building is placed. This atleast makes them similar to Panzergrenadiers and given their relative squishiness discourages players from spamming them as they did with Volksgrenadiers. |
I'm just curious as to what is the overall plan for OKW. How is OKW going to handle these rear armor nerfs with only Raketenwerfers to support them? They have 0 dedicated AT infantry now. |
Are they unattractive because of the weaker rear armor, that area where enemy tanks shouldn't be? I don't think it changes anything. Just makes a flank more reliable. Look at Luvnest's assault on Hans in the final of ESL to understand how hard it is still to pull that crap off. We talk about all these stat changes but pathing and micro are still a bitch.
You're right in a 1v1 sense. The problem for Luvnest was that he didn't focus the Tiger, he had several tanks stunned by the support guns and stopped to take out Hans' StuG III e and the pak guns supporting the Tiger while only one T34 continued to shoot at the Tiger's frontal armor. A rear armor nerf wouldn't have saved him that battle.
If anything this'll make Germans in team games even weaker. |
