What is a good Ostheer build when you are not that good with microing Team Weapons?

The best thing to do would be to get good at using team weapons. Ostheer is very reliant on combined arms, more so than any other faction, especially in the early game.

If you are dead set against team weapons, I would suggest 4 gren -> t2 upgrade -> pio -> t2 building -> 251 HT vs. sovs, pak then 251 vs. USF.

Use CAS doctrine for fuel -> muni, and you can quickly regain the advantage in infantry engagements vs. USF, and bleed them hard without having to retreat yourself. This allows you to not only hold "your" side of the map, but to push hard and harass the enemy cutoff as well, giving you a resource advantage if done well on the right maps.

Don't forget, upgrade your pios with flamers first, 2 flamer pios can wreck any allied squad, and they are a very good supporting unit for grens because of their sight range and close range firepower.

It may be prudent to grab an MG42 at some point if your opponent is moving units in groups. Use the MG42 in conjunction with flamer pios to suppress and barbeque enemies. Even if your opponent techs for nades as a counter, that is still 25 fuel that isn't going towards a sherman, and ostheer needs as much time as it can get.

One final tip, plant the shit out of tellers in defensive positions, and maybe one in an expected enemy assault path on "their side." Allied players never expect ostheer to get mines, and if you don't force your opponent to get minesweepers, tellers can be a very nasty shock to an enemy M20/AAHT/sherman rush. If you wipe the enemy's rear eche fast, you can almost be assured that a new one will not be produced for some time.

This problem can be easily avoided by just micro-ind its every move.

It has huge vision range, suppress gren squad, 222 show up. Reverse it in a proper posstion. Kill it. Ive only lost an aa HT to a 222 once. and thats because it was fausted.

I don't think you understand. The 222 in question is already within the AAHTs firing arc, but issuing an attack command on it causes it to auto-rotate. It has nothing to do with reversing the AAHT towards the 222, because all that would do is move you closer to it, when that is not necessary. You don't switch the targets of a rifle squad by walking towards another target, you right click on the new target. Same should be true with the AAHT.

Stuart and WC51 need to be listed.

WC51 is too slow for its nerfed HPs/Armor currently. I use Mechanized to break the Meta and I cant get it to work. People that say otherwise dont use it. Just lost one well it tried to derp do the pathing in seconds to two Volks squads without Shreks and it had a Rifle squad shooting with the 50 the whole time.

Its like a gimped Async version of the M3. Its terrrrrrible now.

I use the WC51 quite a lot, and while it is overnerfed, it is by no means useless. I enjoy using it on large maps with the vet 1 to move reinforcements around at the speed of light (vaux farmlands). In 1v1, it is useful for pushing volks out of cover early and disrupting sturmpio pathing, as well as to chase down kubel and the HQ truck. I think the WC51 would be fine with a slight accel buff and maybe a weapon buff.

Its the other way around. Grenades are supposed to be more effective against units in cover. Same goes for flamers.

Actually, in COH2, grenades count as regular AOE weapons. Green cover reduces all damage taken by 50% (including grenade explosions.) Yellow cover only decreases received accuracy, but has nothing to do with reduced damage, so grenades deal full damage to units in yellow cover. Flamers deal extra damage to units in buildings, but ignore regular cover. This means that a flamer shooting at units in the open deal the same damage + crit chance as when it shoots at units in green cover.

I don't see where all this hate for mg34s is coming from. I can see it not being as useful in larger team games, but the mg34 is quite good in 1v1s and 2v2s. You only need to use them like mg42s, in other words, just get two of them and put them in slightly spread positions so that they each cover a central area, with room on the sides to protect from flanks. 2 mg34s at vet 0 make a very nice defensive position in the early game, and they transition to the lategame well thanks to incendiary rounds. The only thing it needs is faster rotation speed, and eve then, only barely.

M2HB is also fine, use it to support advancing rifles, not as a defensive weapon. M2HB and maxims are both offensive mgs meant to quickly advance and cover your infantry. Although it definitely needs a gun armor buff to 70 like all the other mgs have.
