Like the Bofors, AEC, Anvil and Hammer upgrades, I presume you mean?
That's what I would hope, maybe also along the lines of okw paying for healing, mech, and the flak cannon.
This is the exact relic post:
side upgrades are not out of the questions (we are/have explored) and might be something to come in the future.
fuel upgrades were obviously warranted due to the increase in fuel and the data reflected it.
We will continue to monitor the data and trends and adjust things accordingly from there.
Like I said, no definites, but they are definetly considering side tech |
You guys are missing the point on the p4/ panther price increases. They aren't increasing the costs because they feel the tanks were overperforming per cost, they increased their price because OKW was able to get too many tanks out way too quickly.
More likely than not, we will see the prices reverted for the mediums and replaced with actual tech to unlock them, as was hinted by the relic employee earlier (can't remember name).
They most likely went with increased fuel cost because it was the fastest way to push the changes out on a hotfix before relic goes on holiday. |
Does no one read here? It does damage guys, it reliably kills support weapons and even wipes squads when standing still, like I said, it targets a single Squad and pins the rest.
I'm fine with it doing damage and costing more, but it is just too inconsistent for its price for my taste.
I launched 3 strafes across a game onto a pair of ostheer mortars. The first time it pinned them and killed 2 models on one squad. The second time it didn't do anything (maybe because they started packing up to retreat), and the third time it wiped one of them and killed two models on the other.
The stuka at strafe does about as consistent AI damage, as well as AT damage and is cheaper, so I cannot see why the p47 strafe can't go down to 100 mu to better reflect it's power. |
I take Airborne, Rangers, and Calliope doctrine. I go Rangers if I lost multiple rifles on maps like semois, mech to punish OKW with fast WC51 for kubels and 2 stuarts -> recycle -> fast Sherman, and Calliope commander otherwise.
I have, however, been finding the M20 to be pretty good this patch, since squad wipes are almost a requirement to stay in the game vs. OKW. Especially when they go for a forward retreat point. You just have to micro it much more that you used to. |
|
By the time you have six Calliopes on the field w/ only a few 57 MMs and Captain for AT, and no mines, aren't you pretty vulnerable to Panthers?
You are, thats why you usually want m20 mines all over the place to punish overextentions.
Oh, sorry, forgot to list the M20 in the OP XD |
No 'zook/bar upgrade?
Well, when you go for the calliope doctrine, you hve access to M1919s, which are quite potent.
I have found that bazookas are quite effective this patch, however, and would recommend them if you went LT tier and need AT before you can get your captain. |
Reduce their starting MP and make Volks 300MP?!
And make them perform at 300 mp level.
They should have a small, powerful army, as is evidenced in their faction summary. Currently, they have a large, powerful army with lots of free goodies that they simply don't need.
If you want more starting mp, then you don't need sturms as the opening unit. |
4x STG-44 would be too much on a 250mp infantry squad. I would buff volks to slightly below gren level per model, make them cost 300mp, and reduce their tarting mp to regular levels or make them start with a kubel (and keep their high starting mp). Then, I would give them the ability to take that upgrade for 100mu (same as stormtrooper upgrade).
Panzershreck would either go to sturms as a single upgrade or to a dedicated AT squad.
This would make OKW more of an elite faction (lower unit numbers due to manpower strain, but much higher survivability and power per squad, + specialist vehicles.) |
How is the matchup M15 vs Luchs now that Luch penetration has come from 25 to 20.
I have the impression going T2 is the wrong decision vs OKW. Better having an early M15+zook.
My idea is blob control is more important than hard-countering the Luch, if you micro your M15 well it can keep it at bay and be lucky with a couple of zook shots.
M15 doesn't cut it, the autocannon just doesn't have enough pen (plus the luchs still pens it at 15 armor).
T2 works because pak howies can help put the pressure on OKW forward BHQ builds and Ostheer MG spam, until you can get a forward retreat point up.
Indirect fire is the name of the game I find, as it is the best way to avoid bleeding vs. volks and later obers. |
