Thread: 100mm BS-3 AT Gun12 Mar 2015, 19:22 PM Just because the allies classified it as a heavy doesn't make a heavy. It showed a lot of characteristics of being a medium. (Faster speed, smaller gun, smaller size) While its closest counterpart (IS-2) was similar in weight class, It had a much larger gun, was larger in volume and slower then the panther Thus being closer to a heavy tank in characteristics. Make the damn thing worth its cost.. There are so many units in this game that are useless for how expensive they are. It would make Grens easier to use for the average player. However, they'd need to see their DPS spread out amongst the 5 models so the damage remains the same. I don't. Unless they reduce cost reinforce would be the same for less dps per model, In essence a nerf. Grens are not particularly hard to use already so making it more easy dose not have a huge benefit, In fact it encourages more straight gren spam because grens would outshine the support teams even more than they do already. Wehrmacht support teams and bad/useless units is were to buff OST, Like 222, Pgren, MG-42, Sniper, Stug. In: COH2 Balance

Ost needs more options not less, Grens are tough enough already and scale quite well as the game drags out. In: COH2 Balance

We played against two OKW players, who made nothing but volksgrenadiers and mg 34s. They kept rushing ahead whilst their Ostheer teammates kept dropping strafing runs on our units, completely rendering them useless in almost every engagement. Got a B4 up, got bombed, got katties, they got strafed and faced the doom of the shreck blobs, got kv1s and t34s, both faced the shreck blobs, which infantry couldn't stop due to the strafes. Anyone any advice on how to deal with that? Or just call it GG and leave as soon as you grasp this strategy and see that there is no way to countering it? And before you do, I know they will come, no comments on oh l2p just do a 1v1 bladiebla. I like 4v4s, they give me the idea of a huge battle, which I like. Any advice would help. So.. You built B-4 when you saw CAS. Your just asking to get banged by it. I took it right at the start of the game, like to play with it. Its called Counter-picking and Axis dose it all the time. Shock rifle frontline and Shock motor heavy is the counter to CAS. Don't blob so hard; The JU-87 7.92mm strafe is a skill shot. And move your kat trucks when you see any planes. and keep the kats spread out. In: COH2 Gameplay

The M27 IAR is just a Piston AR with optic and bigger magazine, More or less the same gun. They are going back down the road that the Brits tried with the Bren, I feel like they might be disappointed in the end. On topic; The MG-42 along with the sniper kinda leaves something to be desired for the Wehrmacht early game, Especially when facing rifles with smoke. It gets decrewed too fast, And is useless in buildings. I think just 15% more suppression would help it. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Ostheer - MG42 10 Mar 2015, 01:03 AM Relative accuracy is a moot point when your fireing 2x as many rounds that have higher ballistic damage. Not to mention if it did have a accuracy advantage over the 42 (Hasn't been my experience) the difference in accuracy would not be that extreme to overcome the 1/2 fire-rate. Both rounds are more than capable of reaching over 1000m So accuracy is kind of a moot point. In: COH2 Balance

PM1910 Maxims definitely wouldn't be the best HMG to garrison in a large building with that taken in account. All i am saying is that the maxim had generally not very many positives when compared to the 42, I say this from a design standpoint (Gotta give the maxim some credit it came 32 years before the 42) And also from personal experience of firing both guns on a semi regular basis (About twice a year) In: COH2 Balance
