I remember WBP feedback requiring a copious supply of replays for each suggestion. Why shouldn't the same apply here? I'd like to see some replays or casts where the Brummbar is over performing. |
To me this feels like a traditional RTS with a few moba elements. Is that a fair assessment?
It looks cool but I just don't care for games like Star Craft or DOTA anymore so maybe it's not gonna be something I can like. |

That looks cool and I am actually keeping an eye on it - but there's no way to compare a game that's not out to one that we've had 4 years to play and find problems.
I've played Eugen games before. They're good, but I would not consider them a better develop than relic, and I also would not say their games offer the same experience (we will see what Steel Legion is like when it comes out). |
coh2 without relic would have been so damn good, now we got to rely on community patch to fix their mess but how long will it take ?
WBP is only a first steap (considering relic manage to put it in game without major issue), they still need at least one more balance patch like that to make this game great.
By the time it's done, much better coh2-like game will have been released.
Relic created CoH2. There is no CoH2 without Relic.
Point to a game that provides the same experience as CoH2 but is better. |
You really think that most people on COH2 think that the USF mortar has only slightly better stats? According to the hyperbole, it is a heat-seeking nuclear missile.
Hey come on man, no need to stir things up. It'a clear enough you know better than to present the argument this way. If you're trying to address hyperbole, then more hyperbole will not help. This isn't the comment section on a YouTube video. Let's not have trolls trolling trolls who troll other trolls. |
I think it's just a Scope issue. Once the Brits are in scope, the balance team will do something with the pit.
Unfortunately since Brits weren't in scope but soviets and USF generally were, I'm guessing the next 6 months will be the Age of Brits.
Relic is having them fix stuff one thing at are time so that's just how it goes. |
No, genius. They should've nerfed both of them. The only stock mortar that didn't need a nerf was the Soviet one that doesn't kill anything anyway.
- The USF had only slightly better stats than the Ostheer mortar. Almost everyone already knew this.
- A sample size of one is too small for a test. If you get the chance, take a statistics class. I was a history major, but I took some basic stats and math classes, and they've been very useful for work and in life. If you studied statistics in either a class, or through an online venue, or even just reading through a text book, it's hugely rewarding. The way it helps you understand the world is invaluable.
- A replay where we can see what happened in the game would be more useful for analysis than a screen shot where we don't know what happened.
- You can'take compare units in a vacuum. The USF mortar was a problem because having a mortar that good gave USF too strong a roster when combined with riflemen, which were intended to be strong even without support in early game, so giving them support as well caused problems. Riflemen are fine on USF, but would be too strong if given to Ostheer. It's fine that soviets get a reinforcing halftrack, but if you gave the same halftrack to OKW, different story.

Or not.
By God, they're nerfing it! Please, PLEASE, STAHP THEM! BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!
I really don't see how I'm going to low effort win as USF without the best infantry and also the best mortar. |
Thanks for posting this. I was worried the USF mortar was OP. But because of this finding, where there was a game in which the OH mortar did better than the USF mortar, I am no longer worried. Everything seems good. |
I appreciate this patch being made. Thank you for your work.
As someone who likes the german faction, I am a little afraid of how Brits being mostly out of Scope(tm) will play out. As someone who likes the Brits, I'm afraid that you've nerfed the salvage value of the USF ambulance. |
