Needs to be way more accurate. It's pretty much a tank destroyer, and the one with the lowest dps in the game. For something that shoots this slow it better actually hit something or it is completely wasted. |
I would have propose the opposite, keep it as it is but decrease its fuel price to 110.
It comes out at a good time imo. I don't think we need to see more p4s earlier on the field, it's just not as effective as it should be. I like the idea of fewer better p4s supported by the Ostheer support weapons than just straight up more p4s to make up its weaknesses.
Some asymmetry in medium tank pricing is also nice.

also for comparison.. The air landing officer ablity is 15 munis (i think) but gives insane powerfull aura.

Even at vet3 the ost officers abilty is no where near as powerfull as this and still costs more.

The p4 is not a bad tank, it's just that everything else is better. I would give it a slight boost to penetration and accuracy, that is all it needs. It does not need a fuel cost decrease, it comes at a good time in the build order. It doesn't need to come faster. The little bit more accuracy and penetration will help it match up better against the t-34/85 and the Easy-8, which are closer to its equivalents price-wise. Once the other over-performing medium tanks are brought in line it will be in a good spot.
The OKW p4 is completely fine though. The extra starting armor, the faster OKW repair speeds, and the amazing veterancy bonuses make up for any shortcomings in the tank. |
I've been working on a new strat against the soviets and brits. 4 volks and push hard for the muni points. Try to hold both as long as possible. The munis should be enough to buy multiple stg packages right away, and spam nades too. The early stgs are really good versus the soviet penals and cons, and the extra nade spam helps a lot versus tommies. It also starves them of munis pretty well. The concept revolves around pushing the muni advantage as hard as possible early game to win engagements, where fuel isn't as important. Win before vehicles and fuel becomes a big deal.
I'm still developing it, i'm not sure which commander to go. I've had good success with breakthrough and getting quick g43s on the squads. I've also not had much luck using this against the USF; it's hard to hold both points and when they get bars they will beat you anyways.

I think it's best to make a blocked list for nominations, it's pretty much guaranteed that all the nominations will be the same 6 players. People don't nominate their friends, they nominates the best players. |
US mortar is only worth when using barrage because it fires really fast, but it's nowhere accurate as the WM one. They are both good, but WM requires way less micro and it's much more useful, not to mention that US mortar crew is made of glass and will die to a sneezing german.
T70 should be renamed as the "70 fuel russian roulette" because the tank is ridiculously inconsistent, and if you are having trouble against a t70 you are playing wrong.
And you if really believe that the flaktrack isn't an excellent vehicle when used right you have no right to be called "strategist" (although it is highly dependent on map and micro, I admit)

light vehicles? NOPE. The allies LVs are just a joke in their majority. The only ones worth mentioning is AEC, Stuart and SU76. but their counters are way too strong. A single teller, faust or invisible raketen and you are fucked sideways since you spent a lot of fuel on a gamble.
You forgot the t-70. So basically All the allied light vehicles.
meanwhile axis have 222 that are cheap and durable and luchs or flaktracks that are very cost effective and very hard to kill.
If you are having trouble dealing with a fucking flaktrack you have major problems. |
