Thread: To Balance the Brits!1 Sep 2015, 15:03 PM Ok so after playing a bunch of games last night as brits and as axis the follow change requirements seem abit obvious to me. - HMG team i think needs to be a tad cheaper. Brits seem to lack field presence a little too much early game (260 should be fine). - Commando Dps... Sten guns currently fire the equiv 2000 rounds per min. (Ask Cruzz ) This makes them way too effective in close quaters instantly murdering anything within 10m. - AVRE - Able to 1 shot panthers, basically a Sturmtiger with a smaller explosion but with alot faster rate of fire, no vulnerability during reload and a turret. Before Burts flys in with his "They cant 1 shot panthers" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lz8bT_97dOQ he can watch that and SHHH. - Tulip rockets... I think theyre an awesome idea but maybe need turning down a little. The abiliy to basically kill a P4 in 1 round of fire from main-gun and rockets doesnt leave the P4 much chance to get away. - Brace defenses. I think the damage reduction on this ability is maybe a tad too good. - Commando commander air-raid. This ability can currently 1 shot OKW trucks and often does. needs toning down. - Wasp flamethrower crit kills far too fast and too often atm but i assume this will be fixed on the 3rd with the flamer mechanics being tweaked again. The AVRE and ST both deal same damage (640) 640 is enough health to oneshot most medium tanks t-34/76, PIV, sherman, cromwell, etc etc. It is not enough to oneshot panthers or t-34/85s (they have 800 heals) And no, the churchill has 1500 HP , you need 5 jagdtiger shots to kill it. The sturmtiger has more range than the AVRE, and this is a big, big bonus since you can shoot it without the enemy knowing it is there. If that includes 3-4 shots that have completely missed, then you got that number right. Given that its old alpha client and alpha was pretty much closed? They have a separate in-house build with other changes, what we got was leftovers from old alpha, hence no changes. Glad you mentiond the Stiger... The Stiger has a 50 second reload and can be decrewed if shot while reloading. The AVRE doesn't suffer from such a handicap. ALso the AVRE deals more direct damage to tanks. Stiger cannot 1 shot a T34/85 with its 1 round per min (almost) yet an Avre can 1 shot a panther more often and thats balance? yeah ok. LOL And no jagdtiger deals around 1 8th of a churchils health per shot. Mine didnt miss any and i counted... Still won the game, but sigh. And for your last point... theve implemented changes like the Stiger being moved to commander and p4 moved into mainstream... Yet Sturmpios ect are still 40mp with slower build times and so on... seems abit lazy. In: Lobby

Other than that loving it so far. Also abit annoying relic forgot to implement many changes in this free trial but ahwel (KT and Ostherr P4 do not have prioritize vehicle) things like that, just abit annoying but its only 3 days In: Lobby

You do have to move the Katy close to have a good effect. If it's firing from max range and I have a half track around I'll just reinforce and move around. If it is close you can move squads out after the first rockets hit as there is a delay and the area being barraged is smaller. Wrong the Katy is still super effective at max range. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Brits first impressions (post here)31 Aug 2015, 22:41 PM After playing a bunch of games i sorta came to the conclusion that... In 1v1 i think the brits may be abit too manpower starved in the early game and will struggle. This + the fact it takes a while to field their 3rd squad. (especially if you build a bren carrier which you kinda need to harras the enemy's capping to bring yours in line with thers.). In team games however its likely they will carry the allied team quite hard and we will prob see a shift in win/loss ratios in 3v3 and 4v4. But yeah like i said in 1v1 i think some things may be abit too expensive for what they are. In: Lobby

The soviet army is currently the most potent faction in the game (for the next 3 days lol). T34/85 tanks are a doctrinal bonus. Why dont we make ISU152s non-doctrinal too? Thread: Panzerwerfer - the forgotten Ostheer arty31 Aug 2015, 15:20 PM Give it its 16 rocket salvo back and Fixed Currently it cant even reliably wipe an enemy weapon team in the middle of the radius. Infact alot of the time it paints a circle around said target. yesterday in a game on Ettlebrook station, I found the USF players Ambulance with his infantry healing up, Major squad, few rifle squads and a Pak howitzer team. Fired my Pwerfer thinking id get some juicy hits... 5 kills... like what the fuck I KNOW if that was a katy barrage they woulda been massacred. Its faction opposite the Katyusha, has a far more effective alpha strike being more accurate and having higher AOE. Then follows up with more strikes... Giving huge area denial or making SURE the target squad(s) are dead if they dont retreat. and even THEN often a rocket overshoots and clips a surviving squad trying to retreat. Im not asking for the pwerfer to be as good as the katy (even tho it comes later and costs the same and has less range) But it would be nice if you could fire it and rely on it to be effective. Thread: Wehrmacht mortar vet31 Aug 2015, 15:18 PM The Ost mortar fires faster but i have noticed its accuracy isnt that fantastic, Also i dont think its accuracy scales properly with its increased range at vet 3, which could be the issue. Best bet is to use a sov stock mortar, vet that to 3 and then use its TINY barrage radius to get some good snipes in. In: COH2 Bugs
