You get the stars with ctrl-tilde, but yeah not until the game starts at least.
I think many people passionately hate Sega so care enough to have a whinge on the forums even if they won't ever touch the game... Certainly they have their reasons, but still that isn't Coh2's fault.
For the game itself, yeah things could be a lot better with infinite resources. Gathering resources tends to piss people off though, so....
Wow.. Thanks for the effort!
But how about you play first of all a fair amount of games using Ostheer & OKW?
I'm sure it will change your views a lot - You have over a thousand games as allies and exactly 1 game as Ostheer.
I agree with this. 1k 4v4 games as allies deserves some respect, but you could make more insightful comments by playing with the units that you're criticizing.
Steam spy and Ars' steam gauge both use the same method to gather data (ie the source is the same).
But as mentioned there's the dlc issue, and free weekends skew figures depending when the measurement is taken.
Yes you should get rid of the windows power saving things except on a laptop or non-gaming desktop. If you've correctly configured BIOS the CPU will clock down automatically. I have a gaming computer here that idles about 40w (it's old) and peaks around 350w. Windows power saving stuff disabled of course.
I'm not sure about win7 but the names 'balanced' etc are just presets, so disable things individually and it's not relevant which one is selected.
I've listed the pertinent points for people who don't want to spend 54 mins watching.
-The original territory system looked like a pile of penises
-Interns are sacrificed to the RNG god on a regular basis
-Cynthia is excited
-Optimization is happening
-Leaderboards are coming
-Future balance changes will be more "careful"
-There is a new multiplayer faction
-There will be an in-game unified content hub for DLC and user-generated content
Only concern is what 1v1 players are going to do. Quentin revealed that OKW is the worst faction and as we all know he is probably the best, if not easily top3 player. And okw just got hit pretty hard across core infantry.
Aside from that they all look like positive, long-overdue changes for team games.
For many RTS games the player-base doesn't put in enough hours to get good / understand meta. This is more likely if the game has a very ambitious scope. Imagine if we all only played 100hrs of Coh2, and there was no streaming/casting scene to raise the general knowledge of the game. It would probably still seem pretty awesome to most of us.
