I mean your Ostheer opponent goes for a sniper, just build one, bait it with a Tommy squad and pick the fucker off? Works pretty well for Soviets. The whole issue was the wehr sniper DID counter your own sniper, he could be built earlier (brits need to tech for their sniper) cloak much quicker and his aim time was much less. Hell all ost needed was a bunch of grens and a sniper and you couldn't do anything as tommy sections are so expensive to maintain. The bren carrier failed to be an actual counter because it was even more hopeless than the WC51 with even worse pathing. And is wasted MP as soon as ost built a scout car. Judging by the relic streams brits will be hopeless in 1's unless something is massivly changed (eg tommies getting a snipe ability) In: COH2 Balance

They are basically a worse version of the flamer you can get in the Elite infantry commander, flamers are the equivalent of what BARs were in CoH1, they allow for agressive play with riflemen. If I were to make a big change it would be in them, make them cost more but have a much bigger impact. Your post was all going well until this. Imagine a world where BAR's are buffed to the point of gren MG42's, now imagine two of these BAR's equipped on a pathfinder squad. You know have a gimmicky balance problem even worse than Conscript PTRS's. In: Lobby

Two things are important to keep in mind when looking at these statistics: 1) For the top 200 the ratios can be volatile and can change drastically within days. 2) The sample size is important, because it corrects more for outliners. If you take one look at coh2 charts again you will see USF have consistently had a higher win rate than both Axis factions before and after the patch, USF were OP last patch and now they have seen balance changes people are crying out USF are useless even though they are still ahead of both axis factions. Where did you get that info from? It's inevitable that defensive stance will get nerfed either way. Flamethrowers on riflemen are very map dependent and seimos is only one of the few maps that consists of wooden buildings. Most people usually equip two bars, but if a map has a lot of buildings then people prefer the flamethrower. Thread: Riflemen Vet 317 Aug 2015, 14:13 PM If rifles were so bad you wouldn't see USF leading the win rates after soviets, all these suggestions for 6 man squads, lower reinforce and extra accuracy are ridiculous. Could you imagine dealing with 6 man flamer rifles on semois? Or 6 man def stance LMG rifles on crossing? it's already bad enough as is. In: COH2 Balance
