P4 has less reload than T34/76. And double the health would equalize that one T34/76 will likely do half the damage as a P4 due to chance to pen. So yes on paper the (OKW) P4 will still win in a vacuum due to less reload. I know that you can flank in game but the match-up between two T34s and one OKW P4 is way harder than Felix makes it out to be.
A thoroughly unfair criticism, since I was simply rebutting Mr. Someguy's claim and poorly-worded example. I never "made it out to be" anything, as I was merely responding to a grossly-exaggerated claim.
Which if you had bothered to examine, constituted a single OKW P4 waltzing in, taking on 2 T34-76s, killing one of them, and leaving with supreme ease mostly unmolested. That already presupposes the targeted T34-76 was somehow incapable of retreating. Or that a diving P4 would survive with its rear armour exposed to the 2nd T34. Or that a diving P4 would, while moving and firing against a moving target, hit as well as pen reliably. Or that the OKW P4 can kill a T34-76 and easily extricate itself from the situation whilst the other T34-76 mourns the death of its partner.
While I definitely recognise the massive advantage conferred by having a qualitatively superior unit, the example crafted was simply ludicrous. With Soviets my biggest issue is usually the repair time of my T34s, and not the fact that I'm losing medium tank fights 2 vs 1.
