Just trying to figure out the optimal hotkey layout to play this game.
Gridkeys on + Permanent selection disabled.
All my script is a copypasta from these one, so thanks to these guys
Any ideas about how to reach that optimal hotkey layout ? Please feel free to comment below.

I bought a mouse with one of those programmable 12 button MMO layouts, it works really well.
Enough buttons for all the control group, tac map, and one more with whatever you want.
Gridkeys serves everything else for me.

Mind, some of the hotkeys on the French version might differ from mine.
Change this to:
To stop the camera from spazzing out.
Interesting hotkey, a less obtrusive version would be:
Which centers you on the currently selected squad without affecting mouse position (just never assign control group 0).
That's a good location for the tactical map. I personally prefer it on one of the side buttons of my mouse (Xbutton1). It frees up my spacebar for the following rebind:
Which I find almost as good as WASD for scrolling around the map.
Here are some:
Selects all infantry, mostly for reinforcing at HQ while focused elsewhere.
Selects all units on screen. Can be faster than simply dragging / clicking in some situations. Personally have it binded to my other side button (XButton2).
Instant attack move. Personally have it binded to my dpi button (mouse software).
Cycle through idle vehicles.
Besides that, you could make faction specific binds (e.g. instantly selecting mines) or scummy scripts (like firing a riflenade that autocancels at the last possible millisecond for the *tjoop* sound )
Wheelup::
SendInput {LAlt down}
BlockInput MouseMove
SendInput {:}
SendInput {LAlt up}
SendInput {' 2}
BlockInput MouseMoveoff
return

Wheeldown:endInput :{Click 406, 637}{Click 406, 637}
return

Thanks for your feedback derby.
Especially the (only thing to change is ( instead of (.) for french keyboard, and the select all unit on screen key is (m) instead of (,)).
In my new version of the script I added some of your modifications but this one seems redundant for me Using the ctrl groups hotkeys seems much faster to me, hence the fact I rebinded the keys 8 to 0 to ( I gave up on the old one with the wheeldown to cycle through all inf unit).
I like your idea of making faction specific bind but I think all of the above is enough to play the game in the most comfy way possible, so I'm not going to push that far.
New script
By the way does someone know if an enemy is tossing a nade at your squad, is it notified in the event cue list ? Like if I double tap on the events key will it take the camera to where the nade is going to be tossed ?
