Relic is still bleeding good talent. Except for the AoE4 team, the vast majority of CoH2 leads have left.
Within this month;
Jason Lee | Lead Core Designer (13 years with Relic)

Early this year;
Cynthia Lew | 3D Character Artist / Environment Artist/ FX Artist (15 years with Relic)

Cynthia Lew worked with David Cheong on CoH2 art, left last year (20 years with Relic). Now both with https://blackbirdinteractive.com/

I'll post a more comprehensive CoH list later.

*looks at miserable state of AAA industry*

...and that's surprising how...?

Crunch, burnout, constantly doing the exact same game and reusing the exact same formula(hello activision cod, EA fifa and bf, ubisoft literally everything) stress.

Dev studios we used to love are gone, if they still are around, they are just void husks of what they once were.

You want a game made with heart and for players? Go indie.

There are a few "good" reasons people with 10-20 years experience may leave also. They have done enough and are ready to move to the next level/job. And they dont see room to grow, like the person that has the job they want is not leaving anytime soon. Or they know enough now to start out on their own.

Yep, almost like once gaming became so monetized they are one of the biggest money makers out there. Treated like a hollow business. They're not run by passionate people looking to make great games anymore. They're ran by people looking to increase the bottom line, to increase stocks and to monetized the shit out of everyone.

DLC
Season Passes
Premium pre-paid beta access

All for broken games. And anyone who's out there throwing money at these idiots deserves it. We have to vote with our wallets on these issues.

Haha thanks for that YouTube video, it's funny to see how different the game looked in the beta version, and that mortars had a different sound.

And Brummbar was busted OP haha :D
