Having a hard time countering Soviet go to ground. They usually just spam at an mg, go to ground within molotov range and throw them. When they get the PPSH upgrade it just gets worse. Rifle grenades seems to be the only thing that can clear them out but they're pretty expensive when you only kill maybe 2-3 of them, with rapid deployment they're back before you can recoup your muni losses. Tips, tricks?

Upgrade your green squad with mg so it can support. Or keep an engi nearby with flamer. Or get flamer half track.

Mostly know as "Hit the Dirt!".
Mortars are good, lmgs from longrange (a squad behind the rushed one), HMGs with Incendary rounds tear them apart because the don't get the damagereduction surpressed units normally get. Flameweopons work great too. Scoutcars from maxrange too. Snipers could be OK.
Or you can crush them with tanks, because they don't move. This works so good (if you have a tank).

Its not nearly as good as it was, it only gives yellow cover now.
Fight from equal cover with equal amounts of troops and you will do fine. LMG grenadiers tear them up very well.
If you see them rush your MG and you can't get them supressed in time just move your MG (dont retreat, move it). 95% of the time they're going to throw a molotov, so you need to get out of the way before the burn gets your MG.
You can then set up again in the back while your supporting troops deal with the rushers.

+1. Also know that the conscripts cannot retreat for a few seconds after they have used Hit the Dirt. This makes them very vulnerable to any kind of grenade, if you can get it off immediately. Good players will not use HtD until their conscripts are a little spread out, however, which minimizes the effectiveness of grenades.

Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals.
