Multiplayer in CoH1 is as good as dead these days but if you are looking for an awesome campaign and mods I can definitely recommend it

I really liked the campaign in CoH1. It had a great story, IMO.

The Campaign in coh1 is great. I recall it being like a game version of watching band of brothers.
I bought it on a steam sale a few years back and I must admit that to me it has dated quite a bit, especially in terms of controls compared to coh2.
If you get get it for around 10 euros or less you should still get your moneys worth though.

For many, CoH1 is better than CoH2, having more content and no microtransactions. If you want a extremely good single-player experience, with some basic multiplayer after that, go for it. There's not really any reason to get legacy, as the new one is the same game but with working multiplayer.

The game itself is great, campaign is way better than CoH2's.
Still the game is "old", keep that in mind. There are a lot of UX flaws that CoH2 solved.

For some reason most units feel, look and sound better than in CoH 2. I get that “wow! I just built a massive tank!” feeling in CoH. Not the same at all in CoH 2. Controls are worse though and the Hellcat performance is a joke.

Hell yes! And by the way still by far the best multiplayer game ever made. Still around the low 100 players online at most times noobs, medium and good.
The only thing that is dead is arranged team matches.
