Does anyone remember what that was like? I wonder what it would be like now if the maxim, .50 cal and Vickers didn't suck and could actually surpress infantry. Right now that ability is only for Axis.

And dont bring up MG34, that thing is last minute decision from lelic that made OKW into a faction with no weakness or drawbacks at all

IMO, Vickers is superiour MG due to its ability to actually KILL models, not supress them. It acts like sniper rifle in row of machine-guns.
The only advantage MG42 have is its higher RoF>higher suppression rate, but who need suppresion, when you can easily outflank him due to no-brain positioning most of the time.
Axis needs their MG's to survive throughout early game with no light mg's, light tech and some other basic stuff. Allies - don't. If you still need mg to deal with early game as Allies - l2p.
