I'll only say this,

Playing 3v3 on 4v4 map makes it very unbalanced most of the time.
(at least with current design of armies, and before last patch)

Strangely, Winter maps don't bother me that much in 3v3 or 4v4 as they do in 1v1

Rzhev Winter closely followed by oka river. Both have nice ice placements, good movements and accesible cutoffs.
Steppes is "ok", just very bland
City17 doesnt work in 3v3 for the fact that the outcome depends where everyone spawns, with the two split bases apart you can end up in 2 2v1 battles, where one team ultimately snowballs the other. It also favours germans with all the mgs in the houses. I dont knwo if the new patch has changed that, we have it vetoed still :p
Rzehv summer is prypiat with more chokepoints.
city 17 winter, only played this once. its more open which is good. I think ti still suffers from the seperate bases.

City 17 for 3 vs 3. If i may add, I would like to see old route N13 and «Montargisky» add to 3 vs 3 and 4 vs 4 cause they were so fun. Steel pacte would also be very cool ! Both in summer and winter (with cold attrition toned down)

when are we going to get the scheldt remake? it makes no sense we keep getting all these 1v1 remakes from vCOH and the most popular map ever is quietly ignored. :(

Rzhev Winter hands down. There's really nothing wrong it, the ice makes it so you can really move around, and there's not an overbundance of deep snow, but just enough to slow down movement on the critical spots.

Steppes is another good contender, but I think it's far more suitable for a 4v4, but it's still good nontheless.

Rhzev Winter, we always enjoy playing on that map cause the wide front provides flanking routes.

My favourite is Oka river, hope we will see a summer version of that map.

1. rhzev winter
2. oka river
3. steppes

rhzev summer is bad for flanking, city 17 has awful buildings. Pripyat winter has potential to be good 4-6 player map imo, it's too wide for 1v1.
