Do you think ScoutCar is OP now?

Now that it has the MG and other gun I field two of them early instead of half track and noticed Soviets have hard time dealing with it. I don't think it was a good move by Relic to do that. Only Guards can deal with it early against anyone with good micro.

Umm 221/222 dies in 5 secs if he encounters guards squad or looses 80% hp + engine dmg and can be finished off with small arms fire, 221/222 still needs a lot (lot!) time to take out soviet sniper squad compared to soviet m3 who has terrifying dmg on its own (nothing in it)

Absolutely not. It still needs a pissload of micro to survive against guards n cons with AT-nades and its window of usefullness closes as soon as armor hits the field.

Yeah but it's basically a very very early light tank. I've has two matches now where the players have moaned about the scout car and I kind of agree with them.

They have an increased 'Shock' Value, which is a good thing. They can make a difference in the game, however Soviets have counters to deal with it. The Soviets just have to prepare for it.

If guards manage to get off 1 or 2 PTRS Shots before buttoning, its an outright kill on a fresh scout car.

Also - AT Nades now do slightly more damage (and always penetrate a scout car) making Conscripts more dangerous. Yes - Conscripts can be kited, but its all about flanking MVGame

I do find it a bit OP. I was already making a lot of use of the armored car pre-patch, but now it's just over the top good. I've been hitting vet3 with them every single game.

The only counter they have is doctrinal Guards. They shred conscripts and M3s so ridiculously fast now.

I think its a gd thing...I play ostheer allot and upgrading the scout car to deal with soviet clown cars is a must...but it became useless once the soviet stops making scout car and the flak car investment becomes a waste...at least now it is still usefull

Well, that's just you using it correctly. Every unit can be op in the right hands.

Scout car should cost more manpower. It can counter all of soviet T1 and do decent damage to infantry. It takes 2 AT nades to kill it and it can easily kite conscripts and guards. 80 mp is way too cheap for this unit.

Scout car is kind of cheap for what it does but it dies very quickly and it doesn't scale well for late game. I don't have a problem this scout car for now. I had a game where OH made like 4 scout cars...T70 and one guard killed all with no major damage taken.

Agreed. Even felt that way last patch with how well they do against Conscripts and Shocks. Once they hit Vet2 they are extremely useable and that does come relatively quickly for them aswell I believe.

Afaik Scout Cars only require one AT nade to kill as it engine damages them and leaves them with less than 20% Health, of which small arms can finish them off with ease.

1 AT nade and a nudge and it goes down. Effective in the right hands? Sure. OP, no.

It's probably well balanced at the average skill level. However, it has a somewhat high skill ceiling that just rewards good players far more than it ought to.

In high skill level matches, the only real counter to AC are mines (which of course partly comes down to luck).

It's just way too cheap for how good it is.

I agree, but the cost increase should remain in balance with the soviet m3.

221 remain unchange, just 222 regain its anti-infantry ability, what's wrong with it?

Well a 222 with vet scales effectively into late game since I've had vet 2-3 222s kill vetless T70s and SU-76s by themselves last patch. I've also seen T34s have trouble against them though that might have changed with the recent T34 buffs.

Point is that scout car is way too cheap for what it does and what it can do. When it hits vet 2 it is way too easy to micro and doesn't punish a player who misuses it enough.

+1 on your closing statement. I don't think it's OP'd, but it comes at a point where the Soviets can only handle it if they take it into account from step 1, somewhat narrowing the early game options for Soviets.

Not sure if OP, but definitely good. I don't play Germans that much in team games so can't really say for sure. Just finished a 2on2 match, 1609% efficiency with 8 vehicle kills, few of them were airplanes I think and the rest were wounded T34s being hunted down.
