Since every model needs to be in cover for the squad to be in stealth, which means storm troopers will pop out and in stealth when moving around.
This makes it impossible to stealth around thx to patch change: Snipers cannot cloak until out of combat for 3 seconds
Could this be fixed?

you could give stormtrooper the same cloak as the commandos.

Is this asking for a storm trooper buff? maybe? Idk the idea of able to move and cloak + tactical assualt 4x StG 44s sounds pretty OP to me.

I agree. In addition, stormtroopers have access to a sprint ability at vet 0, something commandos only get at vet 2. This on top of them being much more effective at range and scaling much better makes this seem like not a good idea.

With this state of stormtroopers, you can only play your stormtroopers defensively and not agressiveley, cause the enemy will spot you before you ambush them unlike commandos, who can stealth up to a spot.

That the sniper has to be out of combat was implemented in an earlier patch not in SBP. Before this change you could just. Be in cover, go out of cover and shoot, back to cover an instant-cloak.

They only have sprint with one commander (encirclement) not elite troops

You right. Nobody is going to go elite troops anymore though now that stun grenades got nerfed and the tiger ace costs fuel

Defensive stormtroopers are still really powerful though, especially with their stgs combined with tactical assault.
If anything I take issue with how expensive the stg upgrade is. IMO it should be like 75-80 instead of 100.

Upgrade wise, I think the Storms would have a bit of more of a shock character instead of just slightly buffed very expensively trend by starting with 1 stg and 3 kar 98s. Then a possibility for an upgrade with 3 more Stg for 75 muni.
