I don't know how their patching process is going but IMO they are patching from butthole side and after that they gonna patch things again and again and finally we will have more less balanced game

What is meant by target weakpoint?

It's an ability you get when you vet up.

I'm dissapointed about the snipers still. They should change the sniper team into a sniper, it worked in vcoh, it will work again.

Right, so what would be your suggestion?

Buff the T34 = Good

Leave RAM in and barely touch the SU-85 = Really bad.

Seriously? SU-85 needs a bigger nerf. T34 damage output buff is good, but IS2 and Tiger and Panthers need their damage output increased as well. T34, P4, IS2, Tigers and Panthers having the same damage output is ridiculous.

I'm sure you'd find the game much more enjoyable as axis if you won the second you got a vehicle out, which apparently is what counts as balance in these SU85 circlejerks.

Even after this change the T34 is still far too weak as an antitank solution so every soviet not aiming for a rush win is still forced to rely on the SU85.

From our experience, the T34 is now viable in a competitive match up. We definitely didn't feel this way prior to the change. Give the unit a shot, but remember it will require combined arms to some degree. The trade off is you get a more rounded army.

The problem of sniper team is they are so fucking hard to kill both of them, and not counter-snipe-able

and still have some reason both members can one shot German sniper meh

As i said, if snipers could be 1 man each, the game around snipers would become more interesting and both sides would make them. Stated that in my first post as well, referring to vCoH.

@Cruzz, a flanking T-34 can now chew up a P-IV, which is basically the level of buff they needed. They can also mince an Ostwind head on, which is probably a good change. They're also even cheaper in terms of fuel.

While I like the SU-85 change, it's still obviously messing with a lot of the balance right now. Doesn't need massive changes but something to the movement speed or damage or health.

@Poryspank, the German sniper probably could do with an HP increase to make him less likely to just die to stray bullets and mortar shells and things. At 80 HP he'd be identical to the Soviet sniper team in overall health. I'm honestly finding getting a counter-snipe off less problematic than just generally keeping him alive in the same scenarios a Soviet sniper team would just retreat out of.

@PQumsieh - I heard you say in the stream that the StuG is much better vs. T-34s than the SU-85 (I agree, at least last patch). So, I'd ask whether the StuG vs SU-85 line-up is likely to get made a bit closer?

Currently, it seems like the cost difference between the two units doesn't match their difference in utility, especially against each other (an SU-85 seems to be able to 2-shot a StuG sometimes, as well as being generally better at more or less everything for a not massively higher cost).

Just played against a guy who tried to ram my Tiger from across the map...well not that far :p... his engine overheated and i ate it for dinner. He was successful with one out of two rams. Like the change so far. Nice not having my expensive tiger mangled 100% of the time.

@Blovski - Just to clarify I said the StuG is a strong counter to the T34, not that it performs better vs. the T34 than the SU-85. For the time being, no changes are planned that will modify the performance of the StuG vs. the SU-85; at least in a direct manner. The SU-85 is designed to be better than the StuG in terms of AT, given it has a higher cost and higher AT allocation.

A SU-85 requires 3 shots to kill a StuG unless it is vet 2. A StuG requires 4 shots to kill an SU-85. Also keep in mind target weak point is a guaranteed penetration, meaning a vet 1 StuG can still be relevant vs. heavier armor.

Cheers for the reply :)

I guess Mark Target (or a little PTRS damage or something) was in play when I saw the 2-shot. Big fan of target weak point. Be interesting to see if the StuGs start cropping up more in 1v1 now T-34s are boosted a little.

I think this patch will really fix some problems. Thanks for the good work devs. (It may be slow, and maybe there are other problems you haven't touched yet, but I agree its better this way. I have hope :D).

For the matter of Stugs: Maybe we could give them target weakpoint without vet?. Its hard to get vet, if you are so bad against inf. Or maybe we could decrease the Manpower they need. Their new role would be mortar resistant more mobile at guns. But that probably would be OP.
