2v2 Ranked. Right as the match is loading, I'm looking at hte others teams load and I see this.

I just assume its a bug. The player says he wasn't even "aware" Yet never the less picks that commander.
As the match progresses, I see this:

I forgot to save the replay, but I assure you, this was an ranked auto match vs players.

People gets bans for this but personally I don't know the way how it exactly happens. Also public cheating accusation is forbidden by the rules of this forum. You can try to write e-mail to enforcement@relic.com. This what usually is suggested in similar threads.

This is a bug abuse that people often get banned for these days. But it is not even close to "hacking". You don't need any additional program or special skills to do that, all you need is to realise there is a bug witin the game. Also, even if this is a bug, you can't really do that by accident.

It is not a glitch. It is a bug abuse and you can do it only on purpose.

If you want to become a programmer, better than relic ones, remember one thing: always do the validation both on client and server side. There is nothing more to learn here, programming wise.
Oh, and if you ever find yourself implementing a state machine, abstract it into a separate, strictly validated component, instead of trying to implement it in GUI code. Separation of concerns is pretty much always a good idea.
