I wouldn't mind it being a little more accurate
The range as well as its pack up time to be rather fair.

The strength of the usf mortar , aside from it being almost unkillable due to lightning pack up speed is the continual pressure it can apply. People often ignore the fact that a half health gren squad will loose any engagement and risk being wiped. Same goes for the mg. The mortar may not get the kills but it often does significant damage and either forces the opposing squad from the field or gives a flanking double bars squad a huge advantage.
Stop focusing on its weakness and instead look to its strengths.

It misses 3 out of 4 shots when using it´s barage.
It´s over nerfed.
I had a game where Vet 0 ZIS Gun penetrated KT frontal armour 4 times in a row.
Does that make ZIS gun OP?

@skemshead I would suggest you play against the ost mortar before commenting on the usf mortar.

Maybe you should try playing ost and see how annoying playing against mortars is, with 4 man sqauds.

I've played Ost loads this patch. Looks like you have only played Ost.....

@skemshead I would suggest you play against the ost mortar before commenting on the usf mortar.
Usf mortar has ost mortar scatter vs smaller sqauds.
I suggest you look up stats before making any statements.

I'm well aware of the stats, but the Ost mortar still has 80 range while the USF mortar does not. Additionally, match ups exist outside of Ost vs USF. As I already stated, the Ost mortar vs 4 man brit squads who require cover to perform to their fullest, get slaughtered by the Ost mortar due to being bunched up. Also USF mortar can fire against 5 and 6 man squads from both Ost and OKW. Comparing them in a narrow minded way is false.

And the range is compensated by the set-up time (you can dodge nades with that thing, it's hilarious).

What about a UKF Mortar?
I think its that 400mp autofire hole in the ground thats able to tank a sturmtiger rocket and could even when medium tanks couldnt. Could be wrong tho

This is a poor argument for sure ill take it.

Basically
TLDR: OST Mortar ROF bypass its "downsides" of low accuracy because it fires 2x the amount of shells leading it to gain vet faster only making better. Its high ROF also gives it a high chance of hitting larger squads (thus nullifying your "Muh 4 man squads) and a higher chance for squad wipes.
USF mortar in theory needs a scatter/accuracy change but the range and pack up time are a fair con of the unit.
