Coh2 USF rifle company and E8

Honestly I feel like the Easy 8 is kind of redundant with the Jackson buff and Easy 8 scatter nerf - now Jackson can dive a little bit easier with his extra health. Easy 8 is still nice if you want a more generalist unit with more health and armor but I feel like HE Shermans backed up with Jackson give you a little more wipe potential overall as Easy8 AI is only so-so IMO. That being said having a commander with Flamer REs is still a big draw on certain maps. Edit- For that reason I like Stephans idea of maybe turning the E8 into a premium advanced medium like the Comet and increasing its cost to match that performance.

E8 should be better than m4c i guess and it would be really intresting compare e8 with comet and not with standard sherman or panzer 4
Just imagine e8 as a premium and expensive medium tank similar to comet with range 45 still with 720hp but maybe slihty better armor with cost maybe even 160 fuel
Less spamable but with better quality something like that

One can not choose benchmarks at will. There has to be one benchmark else you get monstrosities like USF mortar and Penals at "JUNE 21st BALANCE UPDATE". Benchmark used to be Ostheer.


If you want to the Comet to serve as benchmark then all units need to be balanced with UKF in mind, which is rather difficult due to their mess up design.

Thoughts on the commander as a whole

-Rifle company doesn't really make rifles much better, it would be nice if this commander added more utility or something more interesting than the worst sprint in game and a flare.

-RE's losing rifle smoke with flamers kinda sucks. The new Rear Echlon Smoke doesn't seem to be used too much overall, I think it would be fine to give smoke to Res with flamers. Your already give-up your minesweepers and you have to purchase grenades to get access. It would help give more options other than rifle spam. If i want 2 res with flamers and a third for mine sweeping, I'm spamming Res and I would like to be able to use smoke on all of my units with terrible guns.

-Opinions on the ez8 seem a bit split. It should probably be worth a buy almost every game considering its locked in a commander so Making more of a premium medium like the panther or comet would enhance the choice between it and a Sherman and hopefully people can say "I want the ez8 b/c its different in a meaningful way" instead of "i want the ez8 b/c its OP and the 75mmSherman is not"

Right now its basically in load outs as the flamer commander and I think it could do more to justify one of those 3 spots

EZ8 is already a very good tank. It only feels bad because it's a generalist - so when you fight infantry you never find it overwhelming, when you fight tanks you don't find it superb either.

It also suffers from comparisons with T34-85, which has worse armour but is better vs infantry and hence is generally regarded as more impactful.

Honestly, I'd rather use the Upgunned Sherman, it is squishier but a bit cheaper and Mechanized gives you so many fun things to work with... Why go Rifle over Mechanized if you want Shermans?

i always go for 2 rears one flame and the oen with zooks and mine sweeper to use smoek too and oyu got your buffed up smoek mortar with its 80 range and captain along with majort but major is retrteat point so captain smoke is good to supoprt riflemen

i hate the reugral shemrna 76 mm gun the standar cuz it has the same pen are the regural exept a little penbuff in mid and long range nothing else worst vs infrnatery anad faster relaod time

I find the ez8 incredibly lack luster anymore. I think it needs better speed or acceleration to make it better at flanking or maybe a bit better AI with main gun. It just too hard countered by so many things. Can easily get rolled by stug(s) can't really fight panthers, cant really fight any tank well other than other mediums. SUper glue taken away plus volks have snares now too which anything USF snared is death sentence other than maybe persh. Like other have said why buy it when its not great at anything really when you can have a reg sherman and jackson. Feel the exact same about comet after it was nerfed because of the LIES that it could beat panthers that was always crap. Comet is so so but too expensive for something that again dosent do anything great, much rather have a cromwell or centuar paired with a FF.

Sherman76mm spam its not that great i think, vet3 with super relaod speed is funny but standard sherman with doser upgrade(80hp+) and jackson is better choice

I knwo but oyu dont get the armor buff liek the the armor company sherman dozer oyu oly get the hit poitns and you lose oyur mobolity which is the only survibility regural shemran has

E8 costs 140 fuel and has better penetraiton and speed than comet and better vs infrnatry too what else do oyu want from a 140 fuel tank cost like OKW p4 and being better than comet and sometimes in vs a panther it wins it has some chances plus oyu cna spam it perhing cna go out only 1 time

Rifle, Mechanized and Support/Heavy Cav are my go to-es when USF to be honest, you probably can't go wrong with those.

Well support is as the name suggests meant to support, but I still think that the Calliope is quite useful to have around, as well as the M5.

USF nwo m7 mines which i prefer for USF cuz htey are cheap and htye bplant fast heavy cover with fighting position and the best cover in my opinion tank traps you spam 5 E8 and then jacksons backing them and there you go

And E8 was lackluster in 2014 2015 and middle 2016 then they buffed its health and near penetration

It's the same cost as an OKW p4. It's entirely reasonable that it's best at fighting mediums, since it is already very decent against infantry. Also, Volks have had snares since forever - about 2 years at least?

A Jackson is better AT, but if your opponent's armour is afk/not out yet/being repaired/somewhere else, your Jackson sits around and does nothing. The EZ8 is always able to contribute, no matter what the situation.

A 140 fuel EZ8 losing to a Panther doesn't make the EZ8 a bad tank, it makes you a bad player for choosing poor engagements and expecting a 140 fuel tank to kill a premium tank.

To be honest E8 for its price is awesome 140 fuel and is better killing infrantry and on the move and has faster relaod time and can take as many hits like panther and E8 has some chances 1v1 panther
