Topic kindof says it all.

With the last few patches, some gimmicks had to go for the sake of the balance.

I personally miss no tech tied call-ins and low fire arc Maxims. God, those units were fun to use.

Some no tech call-ins could stay as long as they where specialized and did not cover all needs of armor (Dozer/m10 combo). Hezter, Ostwind and even KV-8 are good examples.

KV8 Depends. In Shock Frontline it is the same as USF Armor Doctrine. Su76 and kv8 create a bridge for is2

Well some commanders need to have their abilities changed, like combining powerful off map with powerful call-in vehicles or combining powerful infantry upgrades with powerful call-in vehicles.

That does not change the fact some specialized call in vehicles are far better with no tech.

Making Hezter worth it with a tech cost is quit difficult...

RIP direct fire scott, it used to be ok vs light vehicles :(

Direct fire on ISG and pack howie, its kinda they only reason they were unique.

RE spam being good

Pak cloak at vet 3(pretty sure this was a thing and is gone)

Truck pushing and kubel pressure on the cutoff(when the kubel wasnt OP)

OG air supremecy it was so beautiful :snfCHVGame:

Truck pushing

You mean truck crushing?

But I miss when you could use the truck to destroy buildings you don't want an my in and semoiski summer where a trucks wreck could block off the allies exit from their base.

Demo charges. Damn, that change sucks... but well, every blobber has already learnt to use minesweeper anyway.

Comet white phosphorus shot, being fully lethal and outranging mortars

Precise shot on B4.

Popcap abuse on USF Calliope arty... instructing a teammate to spam TDs, then getting three Calliopes and erasing everything on the map was quite fun

Kubel suppresion with sturmpios combo... later on, Kubel spam.

Flamethrower garrisoning a clown car used to be much deadlier.

USF jeep being able to wipe OKW out of the map in first 6 minutes.

The OKW fuel to ammo and vice versa convertion.

When everybody is OP, no one is OP patch/mod:

I realise it was gonna take too long (see spoiler) so i'll stick with a shorter list.

SU:
Conscripts cheap/free hoorah, flare spam, sandbag spam, clowncar sniper (not really but it was fun if you were not on the receiving end) or more realistic double clowncar been a thing and the following fight of guard clowncar vs 222. Wombo combo of old button + IL2

OH:
Pio spam, MG42 suppression bulletin (if you were not on the receiving end), vet2 flamer HT, close air support doctrine (due to the fact that i prefer seeing single strafe runs), spamming Opel blitz strafe of doom run on clownfiesta 4v4 games. PD: vet2 spotting scope 222

OKW:
Kubeljesus. JPIV on medic HQ. Truck push (not crush), Scavenge auto win barrage against USF (just for the lulz). Resource conversion, been able to autodestroy truck. Did i say Kubeljesus? Anyway OPness MG34.

USF:
Rifles defensive stance 1919s, OP RE suppressive fire, M20 against Schreck Volks, popcap abuse on Priest, Paratrooper and Barfinders been a thing.

Brits:
I guess Piat attack ground.

I think that Demo changes were really healthy for the game! :D

I miss the really old 222 where it would start as 221 (if not mistaken) without the auto cannon. So much better against sniper and since the auto cannon is useless anyways, why not get the mg back? :)

The 221 was complete shit. You had to get at least two in order to have any use from it (one did about the same damage as a Kubelwagen). Now the 222 can at least hunt light vehicles and also light tanks if played really well.

Also if you fire the 222 cannon against inf on a wall, you have a minute 6 Ostwind.

Every doctrinal unit had to be build at either the hq or the tier structures in alpha. Alpha even had a literal copy of Allied War Machine for the Soviets lol.
