Changing portraits

In my mod, i have en upgrade that i want to change the portrait of a unit. To this end i used the very simple ui_portrait_action and set both summer and winter values to the portraits i wanted.

But it doesn't work. I checked that the portrait paths are correct, but nothing happens to the portrait in-game. What am i missing?

Is this upgrade in the ebps or sbps? The portrait most likely needs to squad based unless you have it as a non-squad building. Ebps has portraits too.

Also, can you post a screen shot of what you did. It may be a simple spelling error you are overlooking. Is it a custom portrait?

There ya go. Not a custom portrait. The upgrade was first set in the ebps, but i also tried in the sbps, no difference. Also, the symbol change works just fine.

Well after much trying, i just couldn't get it to work...but then i remembered that THE OSTHEER BUNKER CHANGES PORTRAIT BASED ON ITS UPGRADES! I've looked at said upgrades, copy pasting and trying to emulate what they do, but with no success.

Has anyone else looked at what makes it work for the bunker?

Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals.
