Are Obersoldaten balanced?

If you re-read my intro, I'm far from saying Obers are OP, I'm saying in my opinion they aren't balance.

There is obviously something wrong with the Volks but Obers reaching vet4-5 aren't anymore playing on the same category.

As a USF player, the M8A1 is effectively the go to counter but it is a problem when you have no other option because no infantry can stand before them.


i dont get what ur saying, are volks OP? are obers OP? which is it? why do you HAVE to go m8a1, when rifles can keep both units at bay quiet easily, granted you need yo upgraded to hold off obers tho

Have you ever seen vet5 obers? They suppress enemy squads.

No they don't for the simple reasons if Rifles are more or less equal to volks, Sturm aren't equal to RE, panthers aren't equal to Jackson, Obers don't have counter part on the USF arsenal and most important, USF doesn't have stock super heavy.
Oh and I forget, USF doesn't have stock rocket artillery.

They take ages to reinforce. I can fight 2 engagements with volks with healing and reinforcing in between, while in the same time I can only fight one engagement with obers (with healing and reinforcing)
It's like they are a Soviet sniper team.

Have you ever seen vet5 obers? They suppress enemy squads.

have you ever actually tested units you can test in green cover and you can use a mod to remove suppression as well or use just vet 3 its almost the same combat wise

I never use obers. If I do it's because I have nothing else to do and I'm bored

1. Atrocious reinforce time
2. 4 man squad doesn't do much against a calliope/landmattress/katusha

Don't act like you don't go calliope every game, unless you get bored and go Pershing

Stuka is easily avoidable, and it's your exact definition of Hit or miss. Sometimes you hit but it some how misses

And since you mentioned an elephant WITH a KT

Well don't you have support from your teammate as well??

rifles easily beat volks, especially when they get in close, the only time rifles lose is if ther squad is not upgraded and they go up against STG volks. In order for these engagements to be more balanced, volks needs to have the stg's removed or reworked cuz it buffs the mid/close range damage where riflemen are suppose to be good at.

But its not as bad as people are making it out to be, what i dont understand is why dont USF players upgrade ther squads with bars or a lmg

Volks win at range vs rifles and pretty much always get their upgrades faster as well.Guns and nades included.. OKW is a better USF.

Dude. You're missing the point. The point is that they can beat massive amounts of allied infantry pretty much by themselves only because they suppress enemy squads in like 1 lmg burst, not because they outdps them.

Lol what kind of support can kill a kt and an elefant controlled by someone with an IQ at least a point above "braindead"? Really, tell me what you would counter with as usf.

There is no point in playing US outside of 1vs1 unless you love pain, at least not since the Light Vehicle nerf and the removal of doubling up those 1919s, that was the only way to play USF in a game that is likely going to drag into the lategame unless the enemy unit preservation doesn't exist.

Yeah. That. They do simcities better than brits too lol. At mid/close range it's pretty 50/50 between stg volks and single bar rifles, depending on vet levels and presence/use of grenades. Volks can also deny cover and movement with their nades, while usf's do more damage but are more dodgeable.

Caliope and pershing 2 only vialbe commanders so osom and yes my brits teammates must care me in lategame i can only suport them
