Mess around with Stugs guys. If nothing else, it will help us contribute in informed and experienced fashion about what this unit may need adjusted.

What is the purpose of trying to use an ultra-underpowered StuG III?
They are not like Wehr StuG IV, which is so good at killing anything in numbers

Its lower fuel cost and longer range are its advantages, so using it with the intention of fast Tier 4 or saving fuel for a call-in tank (Elefant/Tiger) is best. Tactically, I'd use them like SU-85s. If you can keep them alive until Vet 2, they become drastically more survivable and can beat Vet 0/1 SU-85s one on one.

The arguably best scenario I can come up with is one where your stug has reached vet 1, make the su show it's side by running the pz4 in from the flank and land the stun shot on the su from the stug, giving the pz4 a great chance to get in behind the su. Facing fire from both the stug with a good chance to penetrate front armor and the pz4 behind it, the su should be dead in the water.
This could be an effective counter to the su-85 with t3, however it would take some practice, not to mention there should be other soviet units supporting the su-85 that would have to be pressured by support units of your own to give your pz4 a chance to actually escape in one piece. I know it's hypothetical and sounds a bit extreme, but I'll be trying to put this into practice and see if it can be pulled off effectively against players of at least my own level.
