more 2v2 maps. Rebalance 2v2 maps

Since the focus of balancing units should be based off of how well they perform in 1v1s. Can we have another session of reworking 2v2 maps and adding more? same for 3v3 and 4v4s There's never enough effort put into balancing maps especially for the larger game modes. It's always a balance issue or concern in larger games that screws everything up when a unit stat is changed because it performs to well in a team game, but performs perfectly in a 1v1.

They are on the way, the issue is that it takes longer to make the maps and longer to playtest them. So I tested the waters with the 1v1 map making contest to see if people were interested, with the response so far it seems that this is the next logical move, then on to 3v3s and 4v4s. But they drastically take time out of my personal life and induce a large amount of stress running a tourney to garner interest, so needless to say, I need a break.

I hope Relic either revamps or removes horrible 2v2 maps which are most 2v2 maps in fact. If they tweak 3 maps, remove 1 and add 5 new maps to the map pool giving us 2 more vetoes then that won't be enough to clean up this awful waste dump.

Relic should bring back ecliptic fields for the time being to replace some of the really terrible ones. Then work in adding new ones in due course. But please, no more pure urban maps.

+1. Ecliptic fields was a great map not sure it was removed in the first place! Also Eindhoven country needs to make a return for sure.

2vs2 maps are the worst by far. Our only hope relies on community mapmakers and relic adding community maps and removing the 80% we have on the list now.

I rather think most issues with maps are more due to balance issues than the actual maps being unbalanced themselves.
As Tric said in the shoutbox, with all this assymetrical balance, and shitty balance in general (shitty is my opinion), there is no way to balance a 2v2 map completely for all factions..

I'd tend to agree, but I feel as though my worst experiences in 2v2 are tied to specific maps more than anything else. If nobody fixes the ridiculous elevation issues on Vaux im gonna lose my mind. AT guns and TDs get screwed so hard by those roads.
I think Tros is the worst 2v2 map. Could be my opinion but I gave it a try back when they rearranged some of the points and I just put it right back on veto. Every match feels the same on that map, little to no variety in how people approach it.

considering that world objects and features are strong points in gameplay, map balance is important and separate from unit balance. Providing a defensive building or heavy cover for a cutoff for 1 team, but not the other is imbalanced. Kind of like Angoville. 1 cutoff has a sturdy house. The other has shitty hay bales.

T34/76 is NOT a joke on my hands; Maybe on your hands you make it suck shit? but on me, No. I can kill a stug with a little micro, go toe to toe with a Panzer 4. Is it a joke? LOL T34/85 is apparently a very good tank. But no one says it "one hit wipe" or elefant penetration; up to a point i think this little medium tank just have too much health and too much firepower with that fuel cost.

I think this is same for all game modes.
The really could do with removing some maps.
I'd rather have a smaller pool of higher quality maps with less vetos.

1. Relic bans, not me. 2. It stands in the rules: If you are banned more often, the duration increase and can lead in the end to permaban 3. The Case is bigger as you guys think. So pls step 1 step away pls. 4. I am not a player in the 4vs4 cup, because of RL work.
