[1v1] I can't beat OKW as any faction

My last 9 matches have been vs. OKW. I have lost all of them, except for one (which was unranked, that I had no business winning at all).

Looking for any help at all. Early game I can't engage with the Sturmpios because they just run-and-gun me down unless I'm set up in perfect cover. If I'm in cover, I either get pushed out by a Kubel, or I get outcapped because I'm waiting for those Sturmpios. Mid-game I usually get wrecked by a Luchs. Medium/late game I never seem to have an answer to the OKW Panzer IVs.

I felt like I was doing pretty well at the early game, but then I somehow found myself fought back into my base before I knew what was happening.

OKW doesn't have any early game mgs, so a good way of countering sturms are to attack in force, while your capping units cap. When you first see the sturms always focus them down first. Oh, and buildings work good against them, because if you're in a building the green cover won't be nullified even if the sturms close in point blank (and you won't get pushed out).

I've tried using buildings; the Sturmpios tend to get up close and I watch the guys' (cons usually) just melt away. Sturmpios might drop a model but I'm stuck with a low hp unit afterwards.

maxims can be an effective counter to sturms early if used properly.

the other option is to play slightly defensively with your cons and engineers... bait them into 2v1s at distance so they have to cross open ground (or better yet, red cover) just to engage you. you'll drop a couple of models and force a retreat.

then use that retreat/reinforce time to spread him out.

I´m really sorry, but new patch came out and I cannot load this replay.

But don´t worry, If youn encounter another loss against pesky OKW I or someone else from this forum will look at it (and hopefuly our site wont be down once again)
