hei guys,

i have a problem on this site using smartphones, because if i want to read my private messages, i go onto my name, but it doesnt open the "my profile, my .....logout" window!
using opera mini classic.

yea everything hover based is a pain in the ass for touch devices.

we didn't optimize the site for responsive web design (+toggle menus) at all and tbh i don't see this coming in any future.

but in your case, i can take a look into it. can't give you a eta yet..

I don't have problems with hover based stuff. What I do is pressing and holding the finger on the button I want to see expanded, then a request appears to open the image (since it reads it as an image for each title of the navbar), then I simply press back and I get the submenus ^^

markus, your way unfortunatley doesnt work with my smartphone

easiest "fix" would be, to write the options in the hover into the operations in you profile. you know what i mean? wouldnt fix the hover, but would give you the option to read and write messages and etc. and i never experienced other difficulties than that!

Which smartphone are you using? I'm using an old Samsung Galasy S and the google browser already installed on the device

What we need is a 'COH2.ORG - App'. Where you can browse the forums/news more easily and check your own profile. But I can already say that something like that won't have a high priority for now on the coders' 'to-do list'.

im using htc hd 2 with the "sense of eclipse" rom and the opera classic browser.

We just need to change it to a toggle menu (open on click OR hover and close on click OR hover)

Humm I use an iphone to check coh2.org and it works fine for me. Though sometimes when I try to login I need to minimize the web page in order to see the box where I want to enter my login details.

Ultimately if you're playing the game to make it so it's not enjoyable for other people to be playing the game then we'd rather you not play the game. Sure, be competitive and try to win but if your goal is to troll then go play Call of Duty.

i can read my messages now by clicking on "no new messages" or whatever it may be, but i still cant get the menu with:
my profile
my private messages
my files
logout

long enough, to really choose sth.

Ok thx for the feedback. I guess we need a toggle for smartphone users where you can click and the menu stays up, then continue to navigate.

just add:
my profile
my private messages
my files
logout
to your profile under operations!
that would not fix it, but you would have alle the possibilities of a normal user on a smartphone. plus its an easy fix
