so window 10 over window 7? i think i used up my 3 installs with win8.1 disc. and my hard drive is acting up so i am planning to get a new 500gb samsung evo SSD.

should i get win7? would it get supported for at least 4 years from now?

General support of Win7 ended 14 months ago, security patches will still roll in for the next 4 years.
I'd go for Win10, especially considering gaming (DX12).

inb4 you will still have low fps even with the GTX 1080 when there are a lot of smoke and flame barrages because of #muhoptimization 4Head

what are good british computer shops, where you can publish the basket?

we could then make some basket examples, i think that would make the discussion much more constructive

btw, i think that applying the thermal paste should be easy, watch a video or two and there is nothing that can go wrong.

If i was you i would save your pennies. I think you would regret upgrading once the new system arrives and you test it as the performance gains might not even be noticable. The 4790k is a very good cpu so just drop the new card in to your old system.

Well, he has to buy a good Case at some point, so buying a new Case additionally to a GPU is an option aswell

That SSD isn't great Hans, honestly the m.2 drives are a lot faster and are pretty cost effective too

£97 and you get incredibly fast read/write speeds compared to SATA SSD's, it's only £40 odd more and you get another 16gb of memory too. I've also heard Kingston drives aren't great either compared to Crucial or Samsung.
Otherwise everything seems good. Hope you get it sorted out mate GL

Ah... well probably should have read the rest of the thread before typing this out, rookie mistake. Glad you went for the m.2 SSD haha.

lagfree gaming without second streaming PC is almost not possible, if you want play on the highest possible graphicsettings and even use 1080p60fps in stream settings, still different which game you play and i didnt know how good the new nvidea graphicscard will working^^

His new one could easily handle common stream quality in the background. Also keep in mind he wanted to use his old PC for this purpose.
Btw, why are you so focused on 1080p60fps?

Rarely improves anything, just performance heavy. Most streamers use 720p 50/60 fps, same goes for major tourneys.
