"deathloop" is a bug/problematic animation that needs to be fixed. I don't think there's any sense in including it in balance discussions.


it's probably a stupid balance decision.

The squad members only move in conjunction with the HMG, and have to relocate to the HMG if the gunner dies. Sprint may, at best, help them run to the meatgrinder quicker.

So maybe not useless, but once the deathloop occurs, the squad is effectively stationary.

Deathloop is more complicated and requires coding adjustments.

I would remove the deathloop after it nerfs, but it's something the editor can't do.
