A few days ago I said a good class a. lawsuit maybe would shake them up, many guys were saying its not like that, Sega has a huge legal department, etc.
I hope someone will give them a hint and they will add coh, coh2 to the list.
Many of you guys judgement is clouded by the love towards this (otherwise) great game, but its a business, and they not delivering.

How is it people like me (ati 2xxx, 3xxx, 4xxx series owners), who are unable to play despite following all instructions to the letter are waiting patiently yet others are complaining that balance or lack of leaderboards is "game breaking"?

No excuse for this.

Before the game was released: "Everything at Relic is great and THQ's problems have no impact on COH2s development"....according to Duffy who fed us his personal "company line" on a monthly basis.

After game release: it's all THQ's fault

Duffy helped sucker people out of $60 on a game that's worth $20 at most.

I don't think a lawsuit would change anything. They did already say that they've been working on one and its probably high on the priorities, I don't think threats will get it out any faster. I think they were probably planning on using a steam leaderboard at release but decided to scrap that and make their own when they realized cheating couldn't be stopped in steam version vcoh. It will probably be finished soon, but I'm not really that interested in one at the moment since it would only show who is abusing M3/T70/HTD/Maxims the hardest so whats the point in that.

Q: "Can we request for a ETA for leaderboard for COH2"?
A: Yes you can, but we won't be able to answer.

It sucks. We wanted Leaderboards in the game at launch and we're just as disappointed as you are that they're not. Probably more so because nobody is angry with you that they're not there.

However we're working with an external party on them and to a degree it's beyond our control.

It's like if you invited people over to your house for a pizza party. You put your order into the Canadian House of Pizza & Garbage and promised your friends there'd be pizza. Then no pizza shows up, and you keep calling back and the guy on the phone says, "Oh, you ordered a pizza? We'll have that for you soon."

It's not your fault there's no pizza, but you're responsible for there not being pizza and your friends going hungry.

We'll have them as soon as possible, and we're sorry for the wait.

Is that the case for custom game lobbies as well?

I understand that you cant give any exact time frame, but could you give us a hint wether were talking weeks, monts, years?

To continue the pizza metaphor: if you order a pizza both parties comply to certain delivery times. Relic has ordered a pizza and has no idea whether it will be delivered within 30 minutes or the next day as they dont seem to pressure the meaning and the intention of the word soon.

The question was aimed to get an ETA, which they cant even give. A little more critisicm of Noun's hollow metaphor would suit the likes of GeneralHell...

Yes, its deference of responsibility, for which ultimately the final customer pays the inconvenience and price.

But frankly, to be completely pragmatic, gamers are easy customers with few legal rights.

In any other business, we, as customers, could legally and morally hold Relic responsible for not delivering on its promises, regardless of who they have outsourced/contracted/etc the service to.

Its none of the end users concern or responsibility what complications occur in the delivery of the promised service/product.

But this is how it is...

We just have to live with it till something changes, and hope that the industry doesn't make a "standard" of screwing clients, especially on pre-orders, by taking money before hand on services they will/can/do not deliver.

As a client, our rights are largely limited to our own actions.
Meaning, don't spend money on pre-orders/products that will/can/do not deliver on their obligations.

Can't wait for leaderboards to be implemented after no one is playing this sub-par game anymore.

Agreed. Or they just need a full-time job, a wife/girl friend. Then they would have not so much time being annoyed at bugs, op units .........

Game for sure will improve step by step. "One foot after the other Kinder" :)

Some people dont mind being screwed over.

Others do.

Has nothing to do with your annual income or how many pussies you've banged.

Money is money. A deal is a deal. Nothing more to it than that.
