I'm going to need a bit of elaboration on what you mean by speed to comment.
The time it takes for combat to be resolved?
The time it takes for teching up and getting advanced units?
The time it takes for units to move around the map?
The time it takes for downtimes to end to start up another fight?

Pacing, combat etc. all seem fine to me. The only issue is retreat times for Ost/Sovs on larger 4v4 maps.

The time it takes for teching up and getting advanced units AND The time it takes for units to move around the map. The pace of the game it seems to FAST. Alot of things happen in the same time.

The larger the game, the more players, the faster the pacing goes.
In big team games people can often straight up skip the early game. A fourth teammate can do nothing but build OPs for the first few minutes of the game, which is often worth more than throwing manpower at holding a single fuel point or VP for a few total minutes.
This leads to Panthers coming out before command tanks or the ostheer doctrinal puma can be fielded, even.
In 1v1s, things seem a bit more smooth, with less variables and all.

It's fine? Not really sure what you're looking for. About the only complaint I could make is that the transition from mid to late game in 2v2s is a bit on the fast side.
3's and 4's are just insane, but there's no real point talking about those.

I wish that games wouldn't take quite so long. I feel like it'd be less stressful to be invested in a ten or twenty minute game rather than a forty minute game, but I do respect that the pacing is a large part of what makes up CoH2's identity. I wouldn't go so far as to call for changes, but it would be nice if I didn't feel like I had to be in a really good state of mind just to play.

i think pacing in 1v1 is fine, in 2v2 a little too fast, and 3v3+ needs a serious reduction in fuel income

Yes. I feel that the game is to competitive...has a very pro gameplay...that's the problem !
