When the game calculates damage dealt, are non penetrating shots counted?

T34/76 is NOT a joke on my hands; Maybe on your hands you make it suck shit? but on me, No. I can kill a stug with a little micro, go toe to toe with a Panzer 4. Is it a joke? LOL T34/85 is apparently a very good tank. But no one says it "one hit wipe" or elefant penetration; up to a point i think this little medium tank just have too much health and too much firepower with that fuel cost.

Some weapons have deflection damage if that is what you ask.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Why? Because it was dealt. Weather or not the game counts it, is all I'm asking. Unless someone like Cruzz has already answered this, the only way to know without looking in the code would be to manually count up all your damage in the game, taking note of all non-penetrating hits (pretty much impossible for anyone).

The vast majority of weapons do 0 damage on deflection (all small arms fire, most AT weapons, most explosives). Only a few of them will deal damage on deflecting hits, some examples include the 37mm Stuka AT strafe and the Piat launchers.

AoE damage also has a penetration value.

I know, but in the case of tigers it seems to penetrate almost every time

I think you are wrong on the on-map arty.
Yeah, all rocket arty does deflection damage as well.
However ISU deflection damage was removed together with adding the need to switch ammo.
And doesn't satchel charge have 1000 pen?

most artillery piece have 1.000 penetration and do not do deflection damage
thing original post is referring in damage report in the end of the game..

Yep, i think i opened the wrong file.
However ISU deflection damage was removed together with adding the need to switch ammo.
AP shells is 0. HE shells is .17 (40), Piercing .33 (80)
OP: open a custom game and just run a test if you want to see if it works or not.

Guys, this is most probably not what he is asking for. What he is asking for is that whether or not the post game "damage dealt" stat counts damage penetrated or damage shot. And it is no trivial question as in fact for at least some of the weapons, for example base mgs, it counts damage against tanks without them getting any damage.
