That's false. Unless you're a certain unit (Tommies) most of that defensive veterancy transfers over as it applies to the squad. What doesn't apply is offensive veterancy as those are applied to weapons.

I actually managed to get a work around by moving the veterancy to the entity file itself, not the squad, and made it so specific requirements triggers those offensive boosts and also not apply when they are on team weapons :D . The only thing that may be an issue with Conscripts merging where they will use the Conscript offensive veterancy rather than the that units offensive veterancy.

So is that why people feel late game grens suck, is because they don't HAVE a vet 2?

Which would make it seem like Riflemen were terminators, and then they got nerfed. So if this got fixed wouldn't that make grens super strong?

Just some more bugs that relic will "add to data base" then take a month to confirm it, and take another month to fix it.

No. ALL infantry units' offensive vet tied to weapons is affected. This means also rifles. Grens, due to their lmg perform better than rifles. Rifles with 1919s only outperform grens in dps but that has nothing to do with vet.

The reason why rifles were nerfed again was because it seemed that their defensive bonuses were too strong. We'll see if that holds true once the bug is resolved.

Not sure how much the vet bonuses would change things but I don't think grens will become "super strong".

Only bugs that have been confirmed by the Test Team are added to our database. Sometimes its a quick fix and sometimes its not.

WAIT WAIT WAIT. Maybe this is a good thing? This allows for new fresh recruits to slowly make there way into late game where they don't get outgunned, they just can't outlast the vet squads with their defensive bonuses.

If Vet is held at the model level then it certainly isn't evident on the UI.

You know it'd be cool if all veterancy bonuses was only survivability, that way your vet squads wont become squad-wiping machines and instead they just wont get wiped themselves. Sweet.

Yeah and axis infantry would be totally outclassed by more survivable allied units, as it is now.

I played a game not that long ago where vet5 stg obers can barely beat 2 script squads at close range. So much for an units preservation, might just spammed 5 volks like a pro.

Yes, but obers role is to shred infantry, especialy with +40% accuraccy on vet 2, not tank damage with their 38mp (or is it 42?) models.

To beat two squads of anything your own would have to be 4 times stronger. Three squads, it would have to be nine times stronger.

Simple mathematics really....
