34-76 is something what you cannot use like quantity over quality esp vs okw so yes, 34-85 should. Besides it dies as quickly as 34-76 so nothing to worry about actually.
All factions have non-doc weapon upgrade for core infantry (grens, pgrens, vgrens, obers) or even racks (usf, tbf) what means no limitation of which unit can use it. Looks fairly, doesn't it?


you have good inf, Engineer Squad have non doc Flamethrower, you have very powerful and cheap hmg, its very good for you
Penals or cons cant have non doc ppsh, ppsh is a smg and all SMGs are doc, also non doc ppsh = new problem: very OP soviet inf
also you cant have non doc T34-85, non doc T34-85 = T34-85 + IS2 together, then this is a new problem again.
maybe you say okw have panther and king tiger, yes its a problem and king tiger must be doc
for penals i can suggest Bazooka (Lend Lease program)(one model - 100 mun)

If well used (Hoorah, sandbags, M5), they can have a cost effective fight vs Volks and Grens easily thus giving the soviet player more than one option to maintain and push the frontline.

Im not saying they are OP, but making ppshs non-doc would create more issues than it would solve. Same with T-34-85s.

It doesn't, but opposed to soviet side grades, it doesn't unlock anything mandatory and depending on where you place med truck, it can be ignored completely. Meanwhile, have fun playing without AT nades or medics.

900/235 vs 1300/245.
And important thing is that okw tree is flexible. Can easily get late game tank unlock in 2nd tier while having 7 unit types available so lots of different units for low cost to unlock them.

Or rush to luchs which is significantly better than t70 and 55 fuel cheaper (realisticaly +25 f for greanades = 80 fuel cheaper). And after get 10cp panter callin with no tech spendings.

Plus it doesnt require engi work time to unlock. All units are on the map fighting while engies have to sit on the base.

Current high prices for okw vehicles are just temporary solution to slow down teching.
Just wait for side upgrades (Feb patch please)

im on the same boat for this. either make vanilla factions tier buildings buildable without pios or let the wfa factions need a builder unit too. i dont think its fun gameplay wise that you need to sacrifice mappresence/mine building ability/wiring etc for teching up while wfa factions just can keep up field presence and tech at the same time.

"luchs which is significantly better than t70" you wot m8? t70 is waaaayy better than luchs and comes only a bit later. Also soviets have their own callins that can fight that panther well.

I agree on the engineer part and on the soviet and ostheer t4 coming too late and costing too much.
