I remember hearing about Vet 3 Infantry Sections being bugged with the scoped entfields and having a straight up damage reduction. Is this still the case?
And regardless of whether its still bugged or not, the math would be useful to see.
What's up with Infantry Section Vet 3?

Here you go:
http://stat.coh2.hu/weapon.php?filename=tommy_lee_enfield_rifle_mp
http://stat.coh2.hu/weapon.php?filename=tommy_scoped_lee_enfield_rifle_mp
The scoped version has lower damage per hit (14 vs. 16), but slightly better accuracy as well as shorter cooldown and reload times. DPS at long range actually is slightly lower, though.

Reloads faster, coolsdown faster, is more accurate.
DPS is misleading when all entity deaths are dictated more by criticals rather than raw hitpoints. (And thus accuracy + higher rate of fire is more meaningful than damage per hit.) It's definitely an upgrade.

What kind of criticals do you mean? I'm not aware of either weapon causing any.

Hello.
A normal Tommy Rifle needs 5 hit to kill an ennemy model and the "upgraded" one needs 6 hit. I am not sure the 10% increased accuracy and the 0.2 s reload time compensate for this.
You wont probably notice the difference between both.
Kozo.

Only snipers, Pathfinders and Jaeger Light Infantry rely on that. Flamethrowers used to, but no longer, Relic says. The rest shoot at stuff until it runs out of health and dies.
